This is the Last Will and Testament of Edw'd GIBSON  of Coulsdon Surrey I give to my 
grandson Rob't SANGSTER  my Chambers Dictionary to my granddaughter Mary Ann 
SANGSTER  my family Bible  (& as my dear wife is provided for better than I can do for her) I 
give all the rest of my estate and effects whatsoever & wheresoever (should there be any 
surplus after my just debts are paid) to my daughter Mary the wife of John SANGSTER for 
her sole use and benefit and I do appoint constitute & ordain my dear wife my Executrix & my 
son in law John SANGSTER my Executor and the survivor of them & the Executors and 
Administrators of such survivor in trust for my said daughter and I do desire that they shall 
retain all their charges and expenses  as my Executors shall think fit in Witness whereof I the 
said Edward GIBSON have to this my last Will and Testament  set my hand & seal  this 16th 
day of December 1822 Edw GIBSON  Witness JANE GIBSON

October 6th   1826
APPEARED personally John ROBERTS  of Ely Place in the County of Middlesex ~ Esquire ~ 
and made oath that he knew and was well acquainted with Edward GIBSON late of Coulsdon 
In the County of Surrey ~ Gent ~ deceased and having often seen him write and subscribe his 
name thereby became well acquainted with his manner and character of handwriting and 
subscription and having now carefully viewed and perused the paper writing hereto annexed 
beginning thus "This is the last Will and Testament of Edward GIBSON of Coulsdon Surrey"  
ending thus  "set my hand and seal this 16th day of Dec'" and thus subscribed Edward GIBSON 
saith that the whole [series?] and contents of the said paper writing and subscription of the said 
Edward GIBSON deceased  Jno ROBERTS same day the said John ROBERTS esq was duly 
sworn to the truth of this affidavit before me H D SALISBURY Sur't ….  [?] Not. Pub.

PROVED at London 9th October 1826 before the Worshipful Henry Danne SALISBURY Doctor 
of laws and surrogate by the oath of JOHN TROWER SANGSTER  (in the will written John 
Sangster) one of the Executors one of the executors to whom Admon was granted having been 
first sworn duly  to administer power reserved to LETITIA  GIBSON widow the relict the other 
executor
