In the Name of God Amen I Peter Eives of Cranley in the County of Surry Wheelwright 
being in good health and of sound and disposing Mind and Memeory but considering 
the uncertainty of this Life do therefore make publish and declare this my last Will and 
Testament in manner following ffirst and principally I commit my Soul to God my Creator 
hoping for a full pardon of my Sins through the Merits and Intercession of my saviour 
And I commit my Body to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discretion of my 
Executors herein after named and as to my Temporal Estate with which it hath pleased 
God to blesse me I give and dispose thereof as follows ffirst I give and devise unto 
Edmund Weston of Green in the County of Sussex Yeoman John Weston of Guildford 
in the County of Surry Dyer and my Brother John Eives of Godalming in the County of 
Surry Carryer all those Messuages or Tenements ffarms and Lands with the 
Appurtenances commonly called or known by the name of ffaulkners situate lying and 
being in Shipley in the County of Sussex and now in the Tenure or Occupation of Denn 
or his Assigns Also all Mortgages Bonds Wills Book Debts Stock in Trade and ffurniture 
Goods and Chattells of all kinds To hold for the said Edmund Weston John Weston and 
John Eives their Heirs upon special Trust and Confidence and to and for the Intents and 
Purposes hereinafter expressed That is to say upon Trust that they the said Edmund 
Weston John Weston and John Eives and their Heirs do and shall as soon as possible 
after my Decease by Mortgage of the said Estate or any part or parts thereof if my 
Mortgages Bonds Wills Book Debts Stock in Trade and ffurniture Goods and Chattells 
of all kinds be not sufficient to pay off satisfy and discharge such Debts as shall be due 
and owing by me at the Time of my Decease and all such Interest as shall grow due for 
the same till the payment thereof and upon further Trust that then the said Edmund 
Weston John Weston and John Eives their Heirs do and shall out of the remaining 
Rents and profitts of my Real and Personal Estate provide for the Maintenance and 
Education in Learning Trade and Business of my sons Peter and John Eives aa also my 
Daughter Mary Eives as also such younger Child or Children as I may hereafter happen 
to leave whether born in my Lifetime or in due time after my Decease And when the 
youngest of my said Children shall attain their Age of Twenty one years They the said 
Edmund Weston John Weston and John Eives and their Heirs shall sell the said 
Messuage and Tenements in Shipley aforesaid and shall divide that with my Mortgages 
Bonds Wills Book Debts Stock in Trade and ffurniture Goods and Chattells of all kinds 
with my Wife's Annuity out of Gindens in Shipley in Sussex being two Hundred and ffifty 
pounds principall Money if she should dye during my Executors Trust recourse being 
had to my Wife's Marridge Settlement I also give all that about one Hundred Pounds left 
me by my Sister Heather as may be found by her Marriage settlement and her last Will 
As Also that my Executors can get and save during their Trust so much again to each 
son as to each Daughter as shall be then living whether born in my Lifetime or in due 
Time after my decease Excepting the eldest Son which shall be then living to him I give 
the same as to a Daughter being half a son's share by reason he will have my Copyhold 
Estate also his Mother's Joynture my Will is if any of my Money or Goods should 
happen to be lost at any Time during the said Trust that my Children shall bear an equal 
part in the Loss I also further will and appoint if any of my Executors shall happen to dye 
and as many of them as shall dye before the said Age of Twenty one yearsof the 
youngest of my Children my Will is that within three months after the Decease of any 
one of my Executors the Heirs or Assigns of the Executor so dying shall deliver up their 
Trust to the surviving Executors and they shall within three Months after receiving such 
Trust appoint another Man which shall have as much power in all things as the 
Deceased Executor had when living whom I did at first appoint in this my Will my Will is 
that my Executors shall be reasonably paid for all their Charge and Trouble out of the 
Effects I leave my Children and from and after the Expiration or other Determination of 
the said Trust as to the Remainder of my Estate of any kind not here bequeathed I give 
to the use and behoof of my Son Peter Eives his Heirs and Assigns forever Also I 
hereby make constitute and appoint the said Edmund Weston John Weston and John 
Eives joynt Executors of this my last Will and Testament and I will that none of my 
executors or Trustees shall be chargeable for the Act or Default of another but each 
only to be responsible for his own respective Act In Witness whereof I have hereunto 
set my Hand and Seal the second day of December in the year of our Lord One
