The last Will and Testament of Henry Pritchard the Elder of Bisley in the County of Surry Husbandman I desired to be buried at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named and as touching my Temporal Estate I dispose thereof as followeth In the first place it is my Intent that the Bond given to Thomas Chilton in Trust for my loving Wife be fully complied with in every respect And in part of performance thereof I doe hereby give to my said Wife all and every the goods and Chattels in the said Bond specified and also I give and bequeathunto my said Wife (over and above what is mentioned in the said Bond) Twenty stone of Bacon and my Spining Wheel I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Thomas Geal my second best Bed and all the Furniture thereto belonging but my Will and meaning is that my WIfe shall have the use of my said second best Bed and Furniture (which I have bequeathed to my Grandson Thomas Geal) for the term of her Life Also my Will is that my Wife shall have the use of my Clock and Case for the term of her Life I give and bequeath unto my Friends Moses Everid of Bisley in the County of Surry Yeoman and Richard Simmons of Horsell and William Collyer of Carchers in Horsell in the said County of Surry Farmer all my Goods Chattels and personal Estates whatsoever (not before specifically devised) In Trust to for and upon the several uses Intents and purposes hereinafter mentioned, that is to say, In the first place to pay my Just Debts, To my loving Wife the ten pounds in the said Bond mentioned within one Month after my decease In further part of the performance of the said Bond And it is my further Will and Intent that after payment of my Debts the said ten pounds to my Wife and the delivery of the said Goods Bacon and Spining Wheel so as aforesaid to her specifically devised that my said Trustees and the survivor of them and the Executors and Administrators of such survivor to Convert the remainder of my personal Estate into Money and from time to time to put and place out the same at Interest on such Securities as they shall think proper and to pay all the Interest and profits thereof to my said loving Wife for and during the term of her natural Life and on the Four most usuall Feast days of payment in the Year that is to say the Feast day of Saint Michael the Archangel, the nativity of our Lord Christ, the Annunciation of The Blessed Virgin Mary and the Feast day of Saint John the Baptiste the first of the said payments to begin and made at the first of the said Feast which shall happen next after my decease in the discharge of the sum of Eight pounds a year in such manner at such times and in such proportions and according to the intent of the said Bond and in full discharge thereof In case such Interest and profits shall be sufficient for that purpose but in case such Interest and profits shall not be sufficient for that purpose then my Will and Intent is that every such Deficiency shall from time to time be made good and paid to her by my Trustees lessening the principal Sum so as aforesaid directed by me to be put out at Interest and as to what shall remain of the said principal Money so by me directed to be placed out at Interest as aforesaid after the death of my said Wife and payment of the said Annuity I do direct that my said Trustees and the Survivors of them and the Executors and Administrators of such Survivors to pay and divide the same in manner following that is to say Equally between such of them my Son Henry Prichard, my Daughter Mary Alding, my Daughter Alice Taylor, my Grandson Thomas Geal and my Grandaughter Mary Taylor in equal proportions but my Will is that my said Daughter Alice Taylor do bring into hotch notch the Thirty pounds I have already given her more than my other Daughter and so to be paid no more than her part or share Reckoning the thirty pounds already received and as for that part or share which I do hereby give and bequeath unto my Daughter Alding my Will and meaning is that it shall be paid into her hands for her own particular use exclusive of her Husband and that he shall have nothing to do or meddle therewith but that it shall intirely be at her own disposal and her receipt shall be a sufficient discharge to my said Trustees and I do hereby nominate and appoint Moses Everid Richards Simmons and William Collyer aforesaid Executors of this my last Will and Testament And I do declare that neither of them be Answerable for any Loss that may happen without their willfull Omission default or neglect nor for the Omission Default or neglect of the other but each for his own willfull Omission default or neglect only And I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me at any timeheretofore made In Witness whereof I the said Henry Pritchard have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the Fourteenth day of June in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred Fifty and eight, Henry Pritchard + his Mark, Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Henry Pritchard the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who subscribed our names as Witnesses hereunto in his presence, John Stedman, John Cobber, John Gyles. This Will of Henry Pritchard the Elder late of Bisley in the County of Surry deceased was proved on the First day of December in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty one before the Reverend Cornelius Jeale Clerke Surrogate by the Oath of William Collyer one of the Executors to whom Administration was granted he being first duly Sworn to administer (power reserved of making the like Grant to Moses Everid and Richard Simmons the other Executors when they shall apply for the same).
