In the Name of God Amen The Thirteenth day of Decemb.r Anno Domini one thousand six hundred seaventy seaven and in the nine and twentyeth yeare of the reigne of King Charles the second I John Hone of Bisley in the County of Surrey Yeoman being sick and weake in body but of good and perfect memory praise be given to God Doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following First and principally I comend and bequeath my soule into the hands of Allmighty God my Creator and Redeemer hopeing by the reconsiliason of Jesus Christ to be saved only And my body to be buryed in the Churchyard of Bisley by the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And touching such temporall estate as the Lord of his mercy hath bestowed upon me my will is the same shall be imployed and bestowed as hereafter is expressed Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my sister Elizabeth Fifty pounds to be paid unto her within one yeare after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my brother Richard Cobbut twenty pounds to be paid when he comes to the age of one and twenty yeares Item I give and bequeath unto John Cobbut William Cobbutt and Henry Cobbutt three children of John Cobbut my Father-in-Law twenty shillings apeice to be paid unto them particularly when they shall come to the age of one and twenty yeares Item I give and bequeath unto my Godson John Whitwell the sonne of Henry Whitwell Ten shillings And also to every other of my godchildren twelve pence apeice Item I give and bequeath unto the poore of the parish of Bisley Fifty shillings forever And the use of the Fifty shillings to be paid to the poore of the said pash every year Item next after my decease all the rest of my goods debts chattells and cattle I give and bequeath unto my brother James Whom I make and ordaine my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament he paying all my debts that is truely oweing and legacies and funerall expenses In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and year above written John Hone.
