Will of Charlotte Wyatt PROB 11/1918 This is the last Will and Testament of me CHARLOTTE WYATT, widow, late of Arundel in the County of Sussex but now residing at Camberwell in the County of Surrey. I desire to be buried in Leominster? Church in as plain a manner as possible and I leave the entire management of my funeral to my Executor JOHN SMITH Esquire and I direct the charges thereof to be paid out of any monies that may be in my possession at the time of my decease but in case such monies shall not be sufficient then out of my funded property and subject thereto I give the interest, dividends and annual produce of all my monies, securities for money and Personal Estate whatsoever unto my sister SUSANNAH SMITH during her life and immediately after her decease I dispose of my said Personal Estate as follows that is to say in case I shall be residing with my nephew JOHN SMITH of Grove Hill Camberwell Esquire at the time of my decease then I give unto the said JOHN SMITH all my furniture and effects which may be in or about my residence at the time of my decease and subject thereto I give all the rest and residue of my monies, securities for money, goods, chattels and effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto and equally between and amongst my great nieces ELIZA SMITH daughter of William Smith, SUSAN SMITH and CAROLINE SMITH daughter of RICHARD SMITH, SUSANNAH CHARLOTTE SMITH and SARAH SMITH daughters of JOHN SMITH, FRANCES KATHERINE JEFFERD and CHARLOTTE WARDROPER daughters of RICHARD WARDROPER, ELIZA WARDROPER daughter of CHARLES WARDROPER and FRANCES WARDROPER and LAURA WARDROPER daughters of EDWARD WARDROPER share and share alike and in case any of them the said ELIZA SMITH, SUSAN SMITH, CAROLINE SMITH, SUSANNAH CHARLOTTE SMITH, SARAH SMITH, FRANCES KATHERINE JEFFERD, CHARLOTTE WARDROPER, ELIZA WARDROPER, FRANCES WARDROPER and LAURA WARDROPER shall die in my lifetime and leave lawful issue living at my decease then I give the legacy or share of her or them so dying unto such her or their respective issue equally to be divided between them if more than one and in case any of them the said ELIZA SMITH, SUSAN SMITH, CAROLINE SMITH, SUSANNAH CHARLOTTE SMITH, SARAH SMITH, FRANCES KATHERINE JEFFERD, CHARLOTTE WARDROPER, ELIZA WARDROPER, FRANCES WARDROPER and LAURA WARDROPER SMITH, shall die in my lifetime and leave no issue living at my decease then I give the legacy or share of her or them so dying unto and equally amongst the survivors or survivor of them and the issue of any of them who shall be dead such issue respectively to take equally amongst them if more than one the part or share to which the parent of such issue would have been entitled to and I appoint my said nephew JOHN SMITH sole Executor of this my Will and lastly I revoke all former Wills by me made. ANNE COOKE This is a Codicil to the last Will and Testament of me CHARLOTTE WYATT of Glebe House, Grove Hill, Camberwell, Surrey, Widow I give and bequeath unto the servants of my nephew Mr JOHN SMITH of Grove Hill aforesaid if living with him at my decease but not otherwise the legacies or sums following that is to say LYDIA HARRIS the sum of fifty pounds sterling, to ELIZA HEMSLEY the sum of thirty pounds sterling to ELIZABETH HEMSLEY ten pounds sterling and to ELIZA COFFEY the sum of ten pounds sterling each to be paid immediately after my decease.
