In the name of God Amen: The five and twentieth day of February in the fifteenth 
yeare of the Raigne of our most gracious soveraigne Lord Charles and in the yeare 
of our Lord God one thousand six hundred & sixty nyne I John Lampard of Farnham 
in the County of Surrey yeoman beinge of good and perfect memorye (God bee 
praised) Doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme 
followinge (that is to say) First I commend my soule into the hands of Allmightye God 
my Creator, hopeinge assuredlye ???????? and by the onelye merritts of Jesus 
Christ my Saviour to bee made pla?er of life everlasting in the Kingdome of Heaven, 
And I comend my body to the earthe whereof it was made to bee buryed in the 
parishe Churche of Farnham aforesaid as neare as conveniently may bee to the 
Gate wherein nowe I sitt hopeinge for a joyfull resurrection; And as concerning my 
Lands tenements goods chattells and personall estate I give bequeathe and dispose 
(in manner and forme followinge) First I give and bequeath unto the said parishe 
Churche of Farneham the somme of six shillings and eight pence to bee paid 
present att my buryall  I give and bequeath to my Father and Mother, brothers and 
sisters and to every of them a paire of blacke gloves for them to wear at the tyme of 
my buryall I give to John King??y servant the some of twentye shillings to bee paid 
him within six monethes after my decease and to Danyell Porter and John Lyne a 
paire of black gloves to bee worne at my funerall as afore mentioned I give to the 
poore of the parishe of Farneham  the some of foure shillings to bee paid att my 
funerall: I doe give and bequeath by this my last will and testament My messuages 
tenements maulthouse Barne Edifices buildinges, Gardens, Hoppgardens, Orchards, 
Lands and hereditamentswhatsoever belonging or in any wise appertayning unto the 
said messuage or tenement called Arrundells House situate in Farneham aforesaid 
together with the hoppoles which shalbee there remayninge att the tyme of my 
decease unto Susan my deare and loving wfie for and duringe The tearme of Yeares 
untill John Lampard my sonne and heyre shall accomplishe and come unto the full 
age of one and twenty yeares  If in case hee shall decease before hee shall 
accomplishe the said age that then my will is that Susan my said wife shall enjoy the 
tenement lands and premisses untill Richard my second sonne shall accomplishe full 
age of one and twenty yeares And presently after they my said sonnes or either of 
them ??? ??????????? as aforesaid First I give and bequeath unto my said sonne 
John if he shall then bee liveinge the said messuage or tenement hopp-garden 
maulthouse Edifices and buildings Lands and hereditaments thereunto belonging or 
appertayninge Unto my said sonne and heire John Lampard and his heyres for ever 
(And if hee shall decease then to my second sonne Richard and his heires for ever) 
And if both decease to my right heires forever. I doe give and bequeath all that my 
messuage or Tenement which I purchased of Thomas Manly Esquire situate in 
Farneham aforesaid togeather with the Barne Hopp Garden Gardens Parkside 
houses buildings Lands and hereditaments whatsoever thereunto belonging or 
applying unto Susann my said wife for and during her naturall life, And after her 
decease unto Richard Lampard my said second sonne and his heires forever, I give 
and bequeath to my said daughter Margarett the some of fifty poundes to bee paid to 
the hands of my overseers heereafter named when she shall accomplishe the age of 
twelve yeares to bee by them receaved and the best use and benefitt thereof to bee 
made to her use and repaid att the age of one and twenty yeares, I give unto Richard 
Lampard my said sonne the like some of fifty pounds when hee shall accomplishe 
the age of Tenne yeares to bee payd in like manner to the hands of my said 
overseers and to bee by them detegned to the best use and benefitt for my said 
sonne, And to bee paid him att the age of one and twenty yeares  I give unto John 
Lampard my sonne the some of threescore pounds to bee paid in like manner unto 
my overseers when he shall accomplishe the age of fifteen yeares  Butt if Susan my 
said wife shall happen to marry befor Then my will is that the said threescore pounds 
shall bee paid unto the said overseers by my said wife within five months after if it 
shall happen soe to bee And if any my said children shall decease before they or 
either of them shall accomplishe their severall ages soe that theire sayd legacies 
shall not become due and soe nott payd, that then my will is that the one moyety of 
halfe parte thereof of any such deceaser shalbee payd unto the survivour of them or 
any of them  And thother halfe parte or moyetye to my sonne John to the hands of 
my overseers to his use and by them to bee paid him att the age of one and twenty 
yeares  I doe give and bequeath unto my overseers of this my last will and testament 
and every of them tenne shillinges a peece for and towards the care to see this my 
last will and testament performed in all thinges according to this my intent and 
meaninge revokeinge heereby all other and former wills Deeds of guifts and  
testaments whatsoever Susan my said dear and loving wife my whole and sole 
executrix of this my said will not doubting by Gods assistance but that shee will have 
a motherlike care to bring upp her said children in the feare of god And all my said 
legacies paid heereby bequeathed, and such debtts as shall or may bee oweinge att 
the tyme of my decease, I give and bequeath all and singular my goods chattells 
Leases household stuff and ymplements thereof whatsoever unto my said executrix 
And that whereas I have mortgaged the said tenement and Lands called Arrundell 
House and Lands thereunto belonging unto Robert Bagen deceased for to pay him 
or his Executors sexteine yeares yett to come and unexpired the some of twenty 
pounds by the yeareAnd therefore lastly my will and ?????einge is that if Susan my 
said wife and sole executrix shall happen to marry at ant tyme before the said twenty 
pounds by the yeare shall bee paid and discharged duringe the said tearme of 
yeares yett to comeThat then my will intent and meaninge is that the said Susan my 
said wife shall give unto my overseers heereafter named sufficient secureitie for the 
payinge and discharging thereof and the arrerages thereof to the administrator of the 
said Robert Bagen durenige the whole tearme of yeares it shall heereafter growe 
due att or before such marriage if it shall soe happen Butt if shee shall refuse to give 
the said securitye before menconed unto the said overseers that then  my will is that 
all my said use of my personall estate in leases before bequeathed to my said 
executrix shall bee voyd and of  none effect, And that I doe hereby give and 
bequeath unto my said overseers heereafter named the said leases and the 
Indentures thereof with titles and interests possessions claymes and demands 
whatsoever to them for the dischareging of the said twenty poundes by the yeare 
dureinge the whole tearme of yeares, and the arrerages thereof to the executor of 
the said Robert Bagen  And the overplus or remaynder thereof to bee by them 
accounted and repaid unto John my saide sonne when hee shall accomplishe the full 
age of one and twenty yeares and ifhee shall decease then to the survivours, the 
brother and sister that shall bee liveinge And lastly I doe make and ordaine of this 
my last will and testament my wellbeloved friends John Mannery; Thomas Gallant; 
and George Lampard my brother overseers and supervisors of this my last will and  
testament  In wittnes whereof  that  this is my  last will and testament I have
