In the Name of God Amen I Susan Bothell of Dorking in the County of Surrey Widdow 
and Spinster being weak in body but of a good and perfect memory praised be god Doe 
make and ordaine this my last will and testament Revoking hereby all former wills by me 
made and Ordained in manner and forme following ffirst I commend my soule unto the 
hands of my Allmighty Maker Creator and Redeemer And my body to be committed to 
the earth from whence it was taken to be buried at the disretion of my Executrix 
hereafter named And these worldly goods wherewith it hath pleased god to endow me 
withall I do will and bequeath as followeth Item first I give will and bequeath and doe 
assign and sett over unto my daughter Sarah Bothell my Dwelling house with all and 
every of the tenements Barns Stables Backsides and Edifices thereunto belonging or in 
any way appertaining to her and her heires forever uppon the conditions following ffirst 
upon condition timely to pay out unto my brother John Hamond foure pounds of good 
and lawfull English money by the yeare during this his naturall life which was formerly 
given him by his own Mother And also on Condition that shee hereby pay to the five 
Children of my Sonne John Bothell late deceased twenty pounds apiece accordingly as 
it is sett down and appointed by her ffather his last will and testament And also uppon 
condition that she timely pay unto my Sonne Samuell Bothell her brother one hundred 
pounds of current english money formerly willed and bequeathed unto him by his ffather 
and his portion at the age of twentyfour yeares if he shall soe long live and not before 
But if the said Samuel Bothell shall depart this his naturall life before his said ffour and 
twentieth yeares of age that then my will is That the said hundred pounds portion be 
equally divided amongst and payd to you and every of your brethren and Sisters your 
and their just and equally parted Item I give will and bequeath unto each of my children 
a paire of sheets and one pillowcase and five shillings sixpence apiece in money As 
namely To my Sonne Ephraim To my Sonne William Bothell To my Daughter Susan 
Bignall To my Daughter Jane Holleway a paire of sheetes a pillowcase two shillings six 
pence apiece To my Sonne Thomas Bothell a paire of sheetes a pillowcase two 
shillings in money and a flockbed Item I will and bequeath unto every one of my 
Grandchildren two shillings six pence apiece in money And all the rest of my goods 
Chattells bonds bills and debts arriving unto me or any way to me belonging and not 
before given willed bequeathed and disposed of And my debts Legacies and ffunerall 
charges payed and fully satisfyed by my Executrix I doe hereby give will and bequeath 
them all unto my daughter Sarah Bothell aforesaid fully to satisfie herself of her portion 
formerly given her by her ffathers will whom I ordaine and appoint to be the whole and 
sole Executrix of this my last will and testament And last of all I intreate my loveing 
ffreinds John Heather Henry Gosden and Henry Payne to be my Overseers of this my 
last Will and Testmt And I give and bequeath unto every one of them three shillings four 
pence apeece for their futher advise and help of my Executrix concerning the due 
performance and execution hereof. And in further witness of this my deed I doe 
hereunto sett my hand and and seale this instant day being the first day of ffebruary
