Henry Tickner of Chobham, 1822-56 (Surrey History centre ref 361/14/26) This is the Will and Testament of me Henary Tickner (labourer) of the parish of Chobham in the County of Surrey, being of sound mind do hereby make my Will and testament in manner and form following . I give advise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Ruth Tickner my freehold cottage and all the garden and appertainenances thereunto belonging, being situate in Burrowhill in the said Parish of Chobham for her own use and benefit during the time of her nateural life and after her deceased I direct the said proprity what there is left if they can agree to be equally divided between them and if not to be sold and equally divided between the sirvisng children. And I hereby nominate and appoint Henry Shorter of Burrowhill Joiner and George Wells of the same place Trustees and Executors of this my will in witness wereof I Have Hereunto set my seal and subscribe my name---- Henry Tickner---- this fifth day of June in the year of our lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty five---- Signed sealed published and declared by the said testator and for his will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence in the presence of each other and at his request have subscribed our names as the witnesses hereunto. James Harvey John Hone Prerogative In the Goods of Henry Tickner deceased Appeared personally James Harvey in the county of Surrey, Laborer and made oath that he is one of the subscibed witnesses to the last Will and Testament of Henry Tickner late of the Parish of Chobham in the County of Surrey Laborer deceased which will bears date the fifth dayof June One thousand eight hundred and fifty five and is now hereunto annexed and he further made oath that fifth day of June aforesaid the said testator executed his said Will by signing his name to wit in a blank space in the Testimonium Clause of the said will in the presence of this deponent and of John Hone the other subscribed witness thereto both of whom were present at the same time and that this deponent and the said John Hone thereupon attested and subscribed the said Will in the presence of the said testator and also in the presence of each other as witnesses attesting the due execution thereof------James Harvey------ On the twenty third day of July the said James Harvey was duly sworn to the truth of this Affidavit before me F T Pratt Sre___ Pst Jno J Glennie, Not Pub.
