This is the last Will and Testament of me Noah Crook of 
Wheatley in the County of Oxford Fell monger Parchment 
maker and Tanner made and published the 3rd day of 
February in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred 
and ten I give and bequeath to my brother Thomas Crook 
the sum of One hundred pounds and direct the same to be paid 
by my Executors within Six months after my decease I also 
give and bequeath to my nephews and nieces Thomas 
William Robert James George Jemima Keziah Crook the 
sons and daughters of my said brother Thomas Crook ten 
pounds each and to John Lake son of .... Lake the same to be 
paid to them respectively within six months after my decease I 
also give and bequeath to Robert Tapper son of Robt Tapper 
now living at Tichfield in Hampshire three hundred pounds 
which I direct be put in the three pr cent Consuls until he be 
twenty one years of age the interest to be regular paid him 
until he is of age as above I also give and bequeath to my 
Executors ...... I also give and bequeath to my dear wife one 
hundred pounds and all my household goods and furniture of 
every description whatever & also all my real estate in 
possession reversion remainder or expectancy subject to the 
payment of my just debts funeral & testamentary expences 
and the said several legacies may be sold and whatever it may 
amount unto to be put into the three pr cent Consuls and my 
wife to receive the interest thereof during her natural life and 
after her decease it may be taken out & equally divided 
between Thomas William Robert James George Jemima Keziah 
Crook sons and daughters of my brother Thomas Crook 
likewise John Lake the same as shall be then living and lastly I 
appoint Robert Tapper Senr of Tichfield and Thomas Crook my 
brother Executors of this my last Will and Testament and 
revoke all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made In 
Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day

This is a Codicil to the Will of me Noah Crook ... Whereas since 
the date and execution of the within Will I have purchased 
freehold estates and real property which have been conveyed 
to me and my heirs ... Now I do hereby devise and appoint the 
same freehold estates and all and singular other my freehold 
hereditaments and estates whatsoever and wheresoever unto 
my Wife Mary Crook her heirs and assigns for ever subject 
nevertheless to the payment of the principal sum of œ300 and 
interest to Messrs Miller Barker & Porter to whom I have 
mortgaged certain parts of the said freehold estates I revoke 
the bequest of three hundred pounds to my wife?s nephew 
Robert Tapper and instead thereof I bequeath to him the 
legacy or sum of fifty pounds and no more I bequeath to my 
Wife?s nephew John Lake the legacy or sum of forty pounds 
over and above and in addition of the share which ....... in the 
residue of my personal estate after my wife?s decease and in 
addition to the Legacy of ten pounds bequeathed to him ..... I 
also revoke the legacy of ten pounds each to my several 
nephews and nieces and declare it to be my will and desire that 
my wife shall enjoy the whole of my personal estate and 
property during her life and after her death the same shall be 
divided amongst all my nephews and nieces within named and 
the said John Lake in equal shares and proportions And lastly 
my two Executors within named being dead I do hereby 
appoint my Wife sole Executrix of this my Will with this Codicil 
hereto and which I direct to be taken as part thereof And in all 
other respects I confirm my Will as within is mentioned And 
contained In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and
