This is the last Will and Testament of me Abraham Costin of Mapledurham in the County of Oxford Labourer which I make publish and ordain in manner and form following (that is to say) ffirst I give and bequeath unto my Sister Ann Allaway of Mapledurham aforesaid Widow the Sum of Twenty Pounds and unto my Sister Mary the Wife of William Lownds of Bath Barber the Sum of Twenty Pounds Also I give and bequeath unto Lawrence Casewell of Englefield in the County of Berks Labourer the Sum of Ten Pounds Also I give and bequeath unto my Nephew James Slade the Messuage or Tenement with the Garden and Appurtenances belonging at Mapledurham aforesaid lately Occupied by John London To hold to the said James Slade his Executors Admors and Assigns for all my Term and Interest therein Also I give and bequeath unto Dorothy Mason Wife of John Mason of Wokingham in the County of Berks Labourer and to Mary Wife of Ambrose Clarke of Stoke in the County of Bucks Shopkeeper (the two daughters of James and Dorothy Smithers) the Sum of Ten Pounds apiece Also I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Thomas Whiting (now living as Servant with Count de Salis in Hartley Street London) the Sum of Twenty Pounds Also I give and bequeath unto the daughter of Thomas Prosser now the Wife of William Parker late Ostler at the Broad fface Reading the Sum of Ten Pounds Also I give and bequeath unto John Bosier of Satwell in the County of Berks Yeoman the Sum of Twenty Pounds and to his Brother Thomas Bosier of Satwell aforesaid the Sum of five Pounds and to his Sister Susannah Hewitt the Wife of John Hewitt of Brightwell in the said County of Berks the Sum of five Pounds Also I give and bequeath unto the following Children of John Slaughter by his first Wife namely Susannah, Ann, ffrances, Hannah, Amy and Elizabeth the Sum of Twenty Pounds to be divided equally amongst them share and share alike  Also I give and bequeath unto Hannah the Wife of Lawrence of Satwell aforesaid the Sum of five Pounds Also I give to Elizabeth the Wife of      Leaver of Didcot in the said County of Berks the Sum of five Pounds Also I give unto Lucy Wife of James ffaulkner of Pangbourne in the said County of Berks the Sum of five Pounds Also I give and bequeath unto Abraham Allaway of Mapledurham aforesaid Labourer the Sum of Ten Pounds and also the Messuage or Tenement wherein I now reside with the Garden Orchard and Appurts thereunto belonging situate at Mapledurham aforesaid To hold unto the said Abraham Alloway his Executors Admors and Assigns for all my Term and Interest therein Also I give to Martha the Daughter of the said Abraham Allaway the Sum of five Pounds All which said Pecuniary Legacies I hereby direct shall be paid within twelve Calendar Months next after my decease All the rest residue and remainder of my Money Goods Chattels Estate and Effects whatsoever (Subject to my Debts ffuneral and Testamentary Expences) I give unto my Sister Elizabeth Wife of John Wickens of Bradfield in the County of Berks Labourer and Jonathan Prater of Reading aforesaid Labourer equally to be divided between them share and share alike as Tenants in Common And I do nominate and appoint the said Elizabeth Wickens and Jonathan Prater joint Executor and Executrix of this my Will and do hereby revoke all other Wills by me at any time heretofore made In Witness whereof I the said Abraham Costin have hereunto set my hand and Seal the twentieth day of October in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and ninety The mark of Abraham Costin
