I Richard Abery of Goring in the County of Oxford do 
hereby make this my last Will and Testament I give devise 
and bequeath to my executors hereinafter named all 
property whatsoever that I may die possessed of or 
become entitled unto Upon Trust after payment of my 
debts to dispose of the same in manner and amongst the 
several persons hereinafter named that is to say To my 
dear Wife Mary Abery the annual Sum of forty Pounds 
during her natural Life & after her decease the principal to 
my Son John Abery To my Son John Abery aforesaid the 
whole of my remaining Property real & personal upon his 
attaining the age of twenty one my executors being at 
Liberty to expend such Sum or Sums of Money for his 
maintenance and education & advancement in life at any 
time or times they may deem proper before he attain the 
age of twenty one Years In the event of my Son?s death 
before he attain the age of twenty one it is also my Will 
that my Wife Mary Abery shall succeed to that which is 
hereby left to him And in the event of my Son?s decease 
before he attain the age of twenty one & in the event of 
my Wife?s decease before that time of my Son?s coming of 
Age It is my Will that my dear brother in law Thomas 
Frewen & his heirs executors & assigns shall be entitled to 
what property may be remaining at the period of both their 
deaths I hereby appoint my kind friends Mr Charles 
Pitman of Cholesey Mill in the County of Berks & 
Thomas Frewen of Goring in the County of Oxford 
aforesaid Executors of this Will declaring and directing that 
they shall be answerable only for the monies actually 
received by them and for their own Acts & Defaults and not 
for any Loss except the same happen by their Wilful 
Default In Witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my 
Name this thirteenth day of December in the year of Our
