This is the last Will and Testament of me John North of 
Watlington in the County of Oxford Gentleman made this 
seventeenth Day of December in the Year of our Lord one 
thousand seven hundred sixty one I will and direct that all my 
just Debts be duly paid and discharged I give and devise all my 
Messuages Lands Tenements Hereditaments and real Estate 
And also all Moneys Goods Chattels and Personal Estate 
whatsoever and wheresoever unto and to the Use of my 
loving Wife Elizabeth North and my daughters Elizabeth 
North and Martha North their Heirs Executors Administrators 
and Assigns equally to be divided between them Share and 
Share alike as Tenants in Common and not joint Tenants 
Provided nevertheless that the said Devise to my said Wife 
shall be in Lieu and Satisfaction of all Power and right and Title 
of Power which she may claim or be intitled unto by Virtue of or 
under the Deed of Settlement made on my Marriage with her 
or of any Covenant or Agreement in the said Settlement 
contained I do hereby make my said Wife and Daughters joint 
Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament In Witness 
whereof I the said John North have to this my last Will and 
Testament all of my own Hand Writing contained in this Piece 
of Parchment set my Hand and Seal the Day and Year first
