The last Will and Testament of me Thomas Staley of 
Burwell Farm in the liberty of Curbridge in the parish 
of Witney and County of Oxford Farmer As follows I Give 
and devise my Copyhold Estate at Curbridge aforesaid with 
the Appurtenances to my Son John Staley his Heirs and 
Assigns I Give and bequeath to my Son Richard Staley the 
Sum of eight hundred pounds of lawful Money of Great 
Britain to be paid him by my Executrix hereinafter named 
within Six Months next after my decease Also I Give to my 
said son Richard Staley all my Implements and Utensils in 
Husbandry I Give devise and bequeath to my Wife Eleanor 
Staley All that my Messuage or Tenement and premises 
with the Appurtenances situate in Witney aforesaid which I 
lately bought of Joseph Brigstock and others To Hold the 
same to my said Wife Eleanor and her Assigns for and 
during the Term of her natural life and from and 
immediately after her decease I Give devise and bequeath 
the said last mentioned Messuage or Tenement and 
premises with the Appurtenances unto my Daughter 
Elizabeth now Wife of Shayler Shiffrey of Witney 
aforesaid Shopkeeper and to the Heirs of her Body 
lawfully begotten or to be begotten And for want of such 
Issue I Give devise and bequeath the said Messuage or 
Tenement and premises last mentioned with the 
Appurtenances unto my Grandson Anthony Collins and to 
the Heirs of his Body lawfully to be begotten And for want of 
such Issue I Give devise and bequeath the said Messuage or 
Tenement and premises with the Appurtenances unto my 
Granddaughter Ann Collins and to the Heirs of her Body 
lawfully to be begotten And for want of such Issue I Give 
devise and bequeath the same to my own right Heirs for 
ever Also I Give and devise unto my said Wife All that my 
Messuage or Tenement and premises situate at Ducklington 
in the County of Oxford aforesaid and All my Closes inclosed 
Grounds Lands and Premises thereto belonging and all other 
my Estate in Ducklington aforesaid To Hold to my said Wife 
her Executors Administrators and Assigns as fully as I have 
power to dispose of the same And leaving to my said Wife to 
provide for such of my Children as I shall leave unprovided 
for I Give and bequeath to my said Will All the rest and 
residue of my personal estate Goods Cattle Chattells and 
Effects whatsoever and wheresoever And I nominate 
constitute and appoint my said Wife Sole Executrix of this 
my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time 
heretofore made In Witness whereof I have to this my last 
Will contained in two Sheets of Paper to the first Sheet set 
my Hand and to the last Sheet my Hand and Seal this 
fourteenth day of March in the Year of our Lord one 
thousand seven hundred and ninety Thomas Staley
