I Eldridge Field of Southstoke in the County of Oxford 
Yeoman being of sound & disposing mind memory & understanding 
(praised be God for the same ) do make publish & declare this my 
last will & Testament in manner following that is to say I Give & 
bequeath unto my beloved Wife Sarah the Legacy or Sum of Six 
Hundred Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid unto her 
as soon as may be after my decease I also Give & bequeath unto 
my said Wife all such household Goods & Furniture Liquors Fuel & 
Provisions Cows & Pigs as I shall be possessed of at the time of my 
decease absolutely to & for her own use & benefit & as to all my 
ready Money debts owing Securities for Money Money in the Public 
Stocks or funds Personal Estate & Effects whatsoever & 
wheresoever & of what nature or kind soever not herein before 
disposed of (after payment of my just debts the Legacies aforesaid 
my funeral & Testamentary Expences) I Give & bequeath the same 
& every part thereof unto my said Wife for & during the term of her 
natural life & from & immediately after her decease I Give & 
bequeath the same & every part thereof unto my brothers John 
Field & Thos Field and my Sister Mary Ann Field equally to be 
divided between them share & share alike but in case any or either 
of them my said Brothers & Sister shall happen to die in the life 
time of my said Wife without leaving any Issue living at the time of 
his her or their decease or respective deceases then I direct that 
the share or shares as well original as ??ing of him her or them so 
dying shall fro time to time go & arrive to the Survivors or Survivor 
& others or other of them my said brothers & sister shall be equally 
divided between or among them if more than one share & share 
alike & if but one then the whole to such one his or her Exors or 
Admors & I do hereby constitute & appoint my said Wife & my 
friend Thos Panter of Southstoke aforesaid Yeoman Executrix 
& Execr of this my Will & hereby revoking & making void all former 
& other Wills I do declare this to be my only last will & testament In 
witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 16th day of 
May in the year of our Lord 1808  Eldridge Field
