I Joseph Smith of Ensham in the Co of Oxford Laborer declare this 
my last will and testament to be as follows I direct that my 
executors do sell all my real and personal estates situate in Mill 
Street Ensham where I reside and now let and my estate at 
ffreeland in the Parish of Ensham my household furniture and all the 
rest and residue of my property to be divided as hereinafter 
mentioned that is to say my nephew James Ayris and to my nieces 
Ann Ayris and Jane Ayris thirty five pounds each and All the Rest 
and Residue in five shares to my nephews and nieces being sons 
and daughters of my sisters that is to say One fifth to the children 
of my sister Elizabeth Phipps share and share alike one fifth to the 
children of my sister Sarah     share and share alike One fifth to the 
children of my sister Ann Rays share and share alike One fifth to the 
children of my sister Catherine Grant share and share alike & one 
fifth to the children of my sister Jane Ayris I nominate and appoint 
Mr Joseph Druce and Mr Robert Ford both of Ensham to be the 
Executors for carrying this my last will and testament into effect 
and finally I revoke and make void all other wills and testaments by 
me at any time heretofore made by me Witness my hand this 
seventh day of May one thousand eight hundred and forty four
