In the Name of God Amen I James Brain of Church Handborough in the County of 
Oxford Taylor being of sound disposing mind memory and memory and 
understanding do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and 
form following ffirst I will that all my just debts and ffuneral expences shall be paid 
and discharged after my decease I give unto my beloved wife Jane Brain all that my 
Messuage wherein I now dwell with the Garden outbuildings and all Appurtenances 
thereto belonging situate at Church Handborough aforesaid to her and to her heirs 
forever according to the Custom of the Manor I also give unto my said Wife all my 
Personal Effects that is to say my Goods Chattels of all kinds whatsoever and 
wheresoever and I nominate and appoint my said wife Sole Executrix to this my last 
Will and Testament and do hereby revoke all former Wills by me at any time 
heretofore made & declare this to be my last Will and Testament whereof I have 
hereunto set my hand and seal this nineteenth day of October in the year of our Lord
