In the name of God Amen I Richard Grant the Elder of Ensham in the County of 
Oxford Yeoman being of sound mind memory and understanding and considering the 
uncertainty of life Do make my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to 
say) First I Will that all my just debts and funeral expences be paid and discharged I 
Give and bequeath unto my son and three daughters Viz Ann John Elizabeth and 
Sarah one shilling apiece And my goods and Chattels I Give to my beloved wife 
Nanny Grant Also I give to my son Richard Grant my house and home wherein I now 
dwell and all my real and personal Estate of what kind soever I do hereby nominate 
and appoint my said son Richard Grant sole Executor of this my last Will and do 
hereby revoke all former and other Will and Wills by me at any time heretofore made 
And do declare this my only last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said 
Richard Grant  Elder have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventeenth day of 
May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen  Richard Grant
