This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Bay of 
Hook Norton in the County of Oxford Gentleman being of 
Sound and Perfect Mind Memory and Understanding (praised 
be God) I Give and bequeath unto my Daughter Ann Brookes 
Wife of Stephen Brookes the Sum of Twenty Pounds to be 
paid to her by my Executrix hereinafter named within 
twelve Calendar Months next after my decease All and 
every my Monies and Securities for Money Debts to me 
owing Household Goods and Furniture Implements of 
Household Plate China Books Pictures Linen and Woollen 
Cattle Chattells and all my Real and Personal Estate 
whatsoever and wheresoever and of what kind soever 
Subject to the Payment of my Debts Funeral Expences and 
the Legacy abovementioned I Give and bequeath the same 
and every part thereof unto my dear Wife Ann Bay her 
Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns And I do 
hereby make nominate and appoint my said Wife Ann Bay 
sole Executrix of this my Will hereby revoking all former 
and other Wills by me heretofore made and do declare this 
to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the 
said Thomas Bay the Testator have to this my last Will 
and Testament set my Hand and Seal this seventeenth day 
of August in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven 
hundred and Ninety one Thomas Bay

Chipping Norton on the Eleventh day of June in the Year 
of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Ninety three 
Before the Reverend Moss Clerk Master of Arts Surrogate 
of the Reverend Matthew Lamb Doctor in Divinity 
Chancellor of the Diocese of Oxford lawfully constituted 
by the Oath of Ann Bay Widow the Relict and Sole 
Executrix therein named to whom Admon was granted being 
first sworn duly to Administer
