Oxford August 3rd 1770
	I  Leave  and  Bequeath
Unto my wife Mary Stuart all my Household Furniture Book Debts and everything that I 
shall bee possessed of likewise any thing that I may be entitled to by the Will of my late 
uncles [?] Samuel Mr. Geken* of the Kingdom of Ireland not doubting but her tender 
affection for her Children will Indure her to do everything for their benefit in Witness my 
hand  ~ Saml. Chas. Stuart ~

Appeared personally William Drought of the City of Oxford  Brewer and Isaac Cabell of 
Oxford aforesaid Apothecary and being severally sworn on the Holy Evangelist Severall 
made Oath as follows that they know and were well acquainted with Samuel Charles Stuart 
late of the City of Oxford deceased and with his manner and character of handwriting having 
often seen and carefully observed the paper Writing hereunto annexed beginning thus " 
Oxford August 3rd 1770 I leave and bequeath unto my wife Mary Stuart all my 
Household Furniture.." ending thus "in Witness my hand" and subscribed "Saml. Chas. 
Stuart"  they these Deponents say that they do verily and in their Conscience believe the 
whole body and Contents of the said paper Writing and the said Subscription of the said 
Samuel Charles Stuart deceased William Drought  - J. Cabell On the third day of 
December 1777 the said William Drought and Isaac Cabell was duly Sworn to the Truth of 
this Affidavit by Virtue of the Commission hereunto annexed before me Thomas Robinson 
Commissioner.


On the tenth Day of December in  the year of our Lord One thousand seven  hundred and 
seventy seven Administration with this Will or Testamentary Schedule Annexed of all and 
singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of Samuel Charles Stuart late of the City of Oxford 
deceased was granted to Mary Stuart widow the Relative of the said deceased and Universal 
Legatee named in the said Will or Testamentary Schedule there being no Executor named 
therein having been first sworn by commission duly to administer /.End
