In the Name of God Amen I Srah Smith of the parish of Hook Norton in the
County of Oxford Widow being of sound and disposing Mind and Memory do make
this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to
say) ffirst and principally I recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty
God and my body I desire may be decently buried agreeably to the
instructions I have given to my Executrix hereinafter named and as to my
Effects after and subject to all my just Debts funeral Expences and the
proving of this my Will I dispose thereof in the manner following (that is
to say) I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Jane Warmington the Sum of
fifty Pounds to and for her own sole use and benefit and which she is now in
possession of and also my Gold Ring I also give and bequeath unto my Grand
daughter Marian Ricketts my crown pieces I also give and bequeath unto all
my grandchildren all the rest residue and remainder of my Effects to be
divided between them share and share alike after paying thereof all my just
Debts Expences attending my illness and funeral Expences And I do hereby
charge the whole of my Effects with whatever expence may attend the proving
of this my Will I also give and bequeath unto my two Daughters Jane
Warmington and Mary Ricketts all my wearing Apparel to be divided equally
between them And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said
daughter Jane Warmington sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament
hereby revoking all previous and other Wills as heretofore made and I
decloare this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said
Testatrix Sarah Smith have to this my last Will set my hand and Seal the
fifth day of July in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and
ninety eight
