In the Name of God Amen this is the last Will and Testament of me Hannah Plater 
now of Hooknorton in the County of Oxford but late of the City of Oxford Widow of 
William Plater deceased Chandler, made whilst I am of a good disposing mind 
memory and understanding ffirst of all I give and bequeath unto my Cousins 
Nathaniel Young William Young and Mary Young Sons and Daughter of my Brother 
John Young the Sum of one hundred pounds apiece Also I give and bequeath unto 
the three Children of my Cousin William Young twenty pounds apiece Also I give 
unto the two Children of my Cousin Hannah Tredwell Daughter of my Brother John 
Young twenty Pounds apiece Also I give to the said Hannah Tredwell fifty Pounds 
Also I give to Hannah the Wife of Robertson a Weaver of Dadington my Sister's 
Daughter the Sum of twenty Pounds Also I give unto the three Brothers of the said 
Hannah Robertson William Richard and Timothy ten Pounds apiece Also I give to 
the three Children of the said Hannah Robertson ten Pounds apiece Also I give unto 
the three Children of Thomas Plater the Younger of Oxford A Chandler the Sum of 
fifty Pounds Also my Will and Desire is that my Executor hereinafter named shall pay 
the Legacies to the Children I have before given unto them within three Years  after 
my decease and the other Legacies within two Years Also all the Rest and Residue 
of my Chattells and personal Estate whatsoever I give and bequeath unto my 
Brother John Young whom I do make constitute ordain and appoint full and sole 
Executor of this my last Will and Testament and do hereby revoke and make void all 
and every other Will by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have to this my 
last Will and Testament I have set my Hand and Seal the eighth day of June in the 
Year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and fifty six

On the twelfth day of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hudred 
and fifty nine Admisistration with the Will annexed of the Goods Chattells and Credits 
of Hannah Plater late of Hooknorton in the County of Oxford Widow deceased was 
granted to William Young the Nephew of the said Deceased he having first been 
sworn by Commission duly to administer for that John Young sole Executor and 
residuary Legatee named in the said Will dyed in the Lifetime of the Testatrix and 
Sarah Hangood Wife of John Hangood the natural and lawfull Sister and only next of 
Kin of the said Deceased renounced renounced the Letters of Administration with the 
said Will annexed of the Goods of the said Deceased a pretended Codicil of the said 
Deceased having been pronounced and declared to be null and void as by the Acts 
of Court more fully appears
