This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Weston of Deddington in the 
County of Oxford Widow I give and devise unto my dear sister Catherina Rolls 
all that my Messuage or Tenement in Deddington in the County of Oxford with 
the outbuildings yard garden and appurtenances to the same belonging and 
all other my real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever to hold to her my said 
Sister her heirs and assigns for ever I give and bequeath unto my Nieces 
Mary Rolls and Rebecca Rolls the sum of two hundred pounds each I also 
give to all and every the children of my late Brother Lionel by his second 
marriage the legacy or sum of One hundred pounds a piece and all such said 
legacies I do hereby direct to be paid by my Executrix hereinafter named 
within twelve calendar months next after my decease I also give to my 
nephews William Lionel Lampet Esquire Jonathan Key Esquire and my Niece 
Elizabeth the Wife of the said Jonathan Key the legacy or sum of five guineas 
apiece as a mark of my regard and esteem which I direct to be paid by my 
Executrix within three months after my decease I give to the poor of the parish 
of Bloxham the sum of twenty pounds to be paid out in bread or otherwise and 
to be distributed in such manner as my Executrix may think right within six 
months after my decease all my household furniture linen china and plate and 
also all my wearing apparel and all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my 
monies securities for money debts effects and personal Estate whatsoever 
and wheresoever after and subject to the paying of my just debts funeral and 
testamentary expenses and the before mentioned legacies I give and 
bequeath unto my dear Sister Catharina Rolls to and for her own absolute use 
and benefit and I do nominate constitute and appoint my said Sister Catharina 
Rolls sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and hereby revoking all 
former and other Wills by me at any time made I do publish and declare this 
only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Mary 
Weston have hereunder set my hand and seal this twenty fourth day of 
February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty three

Mary Weston as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us 
who have subscribed our names as Witnesses hereto in her presence at her 
request and in the presence of each other - Eliza Churchill - Samuel Churchill

In my Will I forgot to mention my Sister in law Mrs Harriot Lampet I wish her 
to have ten pounds for a ring and likewise my Neice Harriot Mary Lampet to 
have ten pounds in addition to what I have already left her in my Will and to 
my Servant Elizabeth Garrat the sum of thirty pounds over and above what 
wages may be due to her and likewise a feather bed the one she now sleeps 
in and some of my mourning apparel such as my Executrix may think proper 
for a Servant It is also my wish that all my legacy duties may be paid out of 
my Effects and that my Nephews and Nieces may receive the full sums 
mentioned in my Will I hope I have not distressed my Executrix by leaving her 
more money to pay than my property will amount to if so all must abate 
something Bury me at Steeple Aston This is a Codicil to my Will wrote with my 
own hand this eighteenth day of January In the year of our Lord 1831 – Mary 
Weston – Witness Thomas William Turner

Proved at London with a Codicil 9th March 1831 before the Judge by the oath 
of Catharina (in the Will written Catherina) Rolls Widow the Sister and sole 
Executrix to whom Administration was granted having been first sworn by 
Commission duly to administer

On the 19th Apr. 1853 Admon (with the Will and Codicil annexed) of the 
Goods Chattels and Credits of Mary Weston late of Deddington in the County 
of Oxford Widow deceased left unadm. by Catharina (in the Will written as 
Catherina) Rolls Widow decd. whilst living late Sister of the said decd. and the 
sole Executrix & Residual Legatee named in the said Will was granted to 
Thomas ? Roblyn ? Esquire the Administrator (with the Will annexed) of the 
Goods left unadm of the sd. Catharina Rolls decd. having been first sworn by 
Comon. duly to administer The said Catharina Rolls having of her said Will 
appointed William Lionel Lampet and William ?? ?? Executors who renounced 
the Probate and Execution thereof.
