In the Name of God Amen I Jeremiah Smith of Ensham in the County of Oxford 
Cordwinder being sick and weak in Body but of perfect sound Mind and Memory thanks 
be to God Do make and Declare My Last Will and Testament and first I will that all my 
just and Lawful Debts be paid and Funeral Expences discharged And as for my Estate 
Goods and Effects which it hath pleased God to bless me with in this World I Give and 
Devise and Dispose the same in the following Manner and Form That is to say first I 
give and Bequeath unto my Son Richard Smith the House wherein I now live with all the 
Appurtenances thereunto belonging But he shall pay William Rider the Sum of tenn 
pounds and tenn Pounds to John Jenkins and tenn Pounds to Francis Smith of good 
and lawfull Money of England also Richard Smith shall pay to his Brother Jeremiah 
Smith the sum of five Pounds when he comes to be one and twenty years of age also 
five pounds to Ann the Daughter of William Rider when she shall come to be one and 
twenty years of age Also my Co..... which I bought of John Keene I give to John Reves 
and his Heires for ever Also I give to my beloved Daughter the wife of John Reves All 
my Household Goods in general but John Reves to be in Charge of my Funerall Also 
John Reves shall live in my House four years after my Decease paying the interest of 
Money which is on it after my Decease...... I make and appoint John Reves full and sole 
Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I hereby utterly disallow revoke and 
make void all former Wills and Testaments By Me at any time heretofore made Ratifying 
and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in Witness whereof I 
have hereunto set my hand and seal this eleventh day of March in the Year of our God 
One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Eight the three legacies hereby given to be 
paid at one year End after my Deceas

as usual and also that the deceased Effects do not amount to the Sum of Twenty
