This is the last Will and Testament of me John Stanley the Elder of Swalcliffe in the 
county of Oxford yeoman.  I give and devise my Cottage or tenement and 
hereditaments at Overthorpe in the County of Northampton unto my wife Dinah 
Stanley during her life and from and after her decease I give and devise the said 
Cottage or tenement and hereditaments unto my eldest son William Stanley his heirs 
and assigns for ever.  I give and bequeath all my personal Estate of every 
description unto my two sons the said William Stanley and John Stanley their 
executors and administrators Upon Exeut to pay to or permit my said wife to receive 
the interest dividends and annual proceeds arising therefrom during her life and after 
her decease in Exeut to pay and divise my said personal estate to and between all 
my children equally share and share alike as tenants in common and I appoint my 
said sons William Stanley and John Stanley Executors of this my Will and revoke all 
former Wills by me made  In witness whereof I the said John Stanley the Testator 
have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand this twentieth day of April in the 
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six. John Stanley  Signed by

presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in
