This is the Last Will and Testament of me Ann 
Makepeace of Kingsutton in the County of 
Northampton Widow First I give and devise All my 
Freehold Copyhold and other real Estate (the 
Copyhold part whereof I have lately surrendered to 
the use of this my Will) unto my Niece Mary 
Whitmell her Heirs and Assigns for ever Also all my 
personal Estate I give to the said Mary Whitmell she 
paying thereout and out of my said Freehold and 
Copyhold Estate unto Ralph Makepeace now living 
with me the Sum of five Pounds to whom I do 
hereby give the same And also paying All my Just 
Debts and funeral Expences And I do appoint the 
said Mary Whitmell sole Executrix of this my Will 
hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time 
heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto 
set my hand and seal the Ninth day of September 
One thousand seven hundred and Seventy three
