In the Name of God Amen I Margaret Mawby of 
Saint Martins Stamford Baron in the County of 
Northampton Widow being of sound and disposing 
Mind Memory and Understanding Praised be God for 
the same Do make and ordain this my last Will and 
Testament in manner and form following that is to say 
ffirst I give and devise unto John Truman of Saint 
Martins Stamford Baron aforesaid Gentleman And 
his Heirs All that my undivided Moiety or half part of 
and in all that ffreehold Messuage or Tenement situate 
standing and being in Newark upon Trent in the County 
of Nottingham in a certain Place there called the Market 
Place and now in the Tenure or Occupation of  
Solomon Chaver of Newark upon Trent aforesaid 
Baker his Undertenants or Assigns together with all 
and singular the Houses Outhouses Edifices Buildings 
Barns Stables Grainerys Yards Gardens Rights Members 
Commons Privileges and Appurts whatsoever to the 
same belonging which said Messuage or Tenements 
and Premises were late the Estate of my Mother 
Diana Wilson Widow and were devised and given by 
her last Will and Testament to me as Tenant in 
common with Lettice late Wife of the said John 
Truman And also all other and singular the Messuages 
Cottages Lands Tenements Hereditaments and Real 
Estate of me the said Margaret Mawby To have and To 
hold the same Premises with the Appurtenances to the 
said John Truman and his Heirs and Assigns for ever 
Also I give and bequeath unto the said John Truman All 
and singular my Goods Chattels Personal Estate and 
Effects whatsoever and wheresoever And do hereby 
make Constitute and Appoint him the said John Truman 
sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby 
revoking and making void ll former and Other Wills by 
me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have to this 
my last Will and Testament set my Hand and Seal the 
twenty ninth day of ffebruary in the fourth Year of the 
Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the 
Grace of God of Great Britain ffrance and Ireland King 
Defender of the ffaith and so forth And in the Year of 
our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty four
