In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Holman of Caldecott in 
the Parish of Towcester in the County of Northampton 
Gentleman being in Good health of Body and of Sound and 
Perfect Mind and Memory Praised be God for it But Considering 
the Uncertainty of this Mortal life Do make this my last Will and 
Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First I 
Commit my Soul to Almighty God who Gave it hoping for Eternal 
Salvation through the Merits and Intercession of my blessed 
Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ and my Body to the Earth to 
be decently Buried at the Discretion of my Executrix hereinafter 
named And as for that Portion of Worldly Goods which it hath 
pleased God to bestow on me in this life I dispose thereof as 
followeth First I Give and Devise unto my Cousin Ann Cleaver 
of Caldecott aforesaid Widow with whom I now live All my 
ffreehold and Customary or Copyhold Messuages Lands 
Tenements and Heredits whatsoever with their and every of their 
Appurts Situate Standing lying and being in the fields Precincts and 
Territories of Silston otherwise Silverston in the said County of 
Northampton or elsewhere in the Kingdom of Great Britain To hold 
all and Singular my said ffreehold and Customary or Copyhold 
Messuages Lands Tenements and Heredits with their and every of 
their Appurts unto my said Cousin Ann Cleaver her Heirs and 
Assigns for ever Item I Give unto my Cousin William Elliott of 
Greens Norton One Shilling All the Rest Residue and Remainder 
of my Goods Chattels Effects and Personal estate whatsoever and 
wheresoever I Give and bequeath unto my said Cousin Ann 
Cleaver (She paying thereout all my Just Debts and ffuneral 
Expences) and do make and Constitute her Sole Executrix of this 
my last Will and Testament and hereby revoke and make Void all 
Wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto 
set my hand and Seal the fourth day of December in the ffifth Year 
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace 
of God of Great Britain ffrance and Ireland King Defender of the 
ffaith and so forth And in the Year of our Lord One thousand 
Seven hundred and Sixty four Thos Holman
