This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Tarry the older of Paulerspury in the County of Northampton Baker as follows (that is to say) I give and devise all my Messuages Cottages & Closes Lands Tenements Hereditaments and real Estate ?.[?] situate and being in the Parish of Paulerspury aforesaid ?[?]? [?] Wife Mary Tarry for and during the term of her natural life And from and immediately after her decease I give and devise All that my Messuage and[?] Tenement with the ?[?] ?[?] close and Appurtenances thereto belonging in which I now reside and also all that the close of Land lying opposite to my said Messuage which I purchased of George Jeffery situate and being in Paulerspury aforesaid, ?[?] and to the use of my Son Thomas Tarry and to his Heirs and assigns for ever, and from and immediately after the decease of my said Wife All those my two Cottage Houses or Tenements with the Outbuildings[?] yards and Gardens or Garden Ground thereto adjoining and belonging situate and being in Paulerspury aforesaid which I purchased of Thomas Kilby[?] and now in the several tenures of John Williams and Elizabeth Sewell I give and devise and grant[?] to the use of my daughter Mary the Wife of Samuel Hillyer and to her Heirs and assigns for ever, And from and immediately after the decease of my said Wife All those my two cottage Houses or tenements with the Outbuildings Yards and Gardens or Garden Ground thereto adjoining and belonging situate and being in Paulerspury aforesaid and now in the ?[?]?[?] I give and devise unto and to the use of my Daughter Eleanor the Wife of John Ridge and to her Heirs and Assigns for ever And from and immediately after the Decease of my said Wife All those my three Cottages Houses or Tenements with the Outbuildings Yards and Garden or Garden Ground thereto adjoining and belonging now in the several uses of William Faulkner Joseph Atterbury and Francis Hindes the younger And also all those my three several Closes or enclosed Ground or Pasture Land containing together fourteen Acres or thereabouts situate and being at Puryend in Paulerspury aforesaid with the yards Barns Hovels and Buildings[?] thereto adjoining and belonging now in the several tenures of myself and John Watts I give and devise ?[?] and to the use of my said Daughters Mary Hillyer and Eleanor Ridge and to their several and respective Heirs and Assigns for ever to take and hold both Freehold[?] and ?[?] as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants ? All my Household Goods and Household furniture Plate Linen and China I give and bequeath unto and to the use of my said Wife Mary to and for her own free and absolute disposal - All my Cattle Stock crops of corn ?[?] and hay Farming Implements ready Money and Securities for Money and Money due thereon Book Debts and all other my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever (not herein before or otherwise disposed of)I give and bequeath unto my Son Thomas Tarry and my Son in Law John Ridge Upon Trust that they my said Son Thomas Tarry and Son in Law John Ridge do and shall as soon as conveniently may be after my Decease make sale of and convert into Money [?] as much and such part and parcel of my said Trust [?] personal Estate and Effects as shall not consist of Money at the time of my Decease and collect and get in all the Money due and owing to me on [?] Securities and Book Debts and thereout do and shall in the first place pay and discharge all my just Debts Funeral and Testamentary expenses then upon Trust that they my said Son Thomas Tarry and Son in Law John Ridge do and shall part distribute and divide all the rest residue and surplus of my said Trust personal Estate and Monies[?] unto and equally amongst my four Daughters Alice Scrivener Elizabeth the Wife of John Newman and the said Mary Hillyer and Eleanor Ridge share and share alike, to whom I give and bequeath the same respectively according to and for their own several and respective use and benefit And Lastly I hereby appoint my said Son Thomas Tarry and Son in Law John Ridge joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament In Trust for the purposes aforesaid and do hereby revoke and make void all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the eleventh day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty nine Thos Tarry Signed Sealed Published and declared by the said ThomasTarry the older the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereof John Lovell Isaac Lovell Geo Bennett On the 28th day of February 1832 Thomas Tarry and John Ridge Joint Executors named in the within Will, were then sworn well and Faithfully to Fulfill [sic] the same according to law; and that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the within named Deceased do not amount in value to the sum of three thousand pounds before me Gowen Evans Surrogate Transcribed by: Colin Moretti colin.moretti@googlemail.com transcribed 3 November 2008, modified 9 May 2010
