In the Name of God, Amen.. This is the last will and testament of me Edward Derby, Rector of Edgcott in the County of Northampton Imprimis, I resign my soul to God who gave it me, hoping through Jesus Christ the son of God forgiveness of all my sins and for salvation thro? his merits alone, and my body I will and desire to be interred within the chancel of the parish church of Edgcott aforesaid, as near the remains of my dear wife as possibly may be Also, all and singular my goods, household goods, furniture and implements of household, study of books and personal estate whatsoever, I give and bequeath unto my son-in-law John Marcy, clerk, and to my daughter Jane his now wife, and to the survivor of them, except and out of this my last will and testament always reserved all such sum and sums of money wherewith I shall die possessed and which shall be owing unto me at the time of my death or thereafter to grow due, all which I give and bequeath unto my son Edward Derby of Little Tower Street, London, packer, his executors, administrators and assigns for and towards his and their true payment of all such debts as I shall justly owe at the time of my decease, which said Edward Derby I make full and sole executor of this my last will and testament and hereby revoking all other wills by me heretofore made, I do declare this alone to be my last will and testament In testimony of which I have hereunto set my hand and seal this nineteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty five Edward Derby Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above written testator, Edward Derby, as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other Elizabeth Burbridge Elizabeth Tomalin Wm.
