In the Name of God Amen I Robert Barnes the younger of Duddington in the County of Northampton being sick and weake of Body but of sound and perfect memory I prayse God therefore Doe here make and ordeine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme as followeth ffirst I give and bequeath my Soule to God my Maker and mercifull ffather being full assured of heaven and salvation through the merritts of Jesus Christ my Redeemer the holy Ghost who hath sanctified me and my Body to the Earth from whence it came there to be buried in the Churchyard in the Parish of Duddington according to the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named now as touching and disposeing that worldly Estate that God of his mercy hath been pleased to bestowe upon me as followeth Imprimis I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Barnes my Daughter Two hundred pounds of Curant money of England to be paide to her att her age of eighteene years or day of marriage by my Executrix Item I give and bequeath Two hundred poundes of like lawfull money of Englande to that Child my Wife now goeth withal if she be with Child whether it is a Sonne or Daughter when it shall attaine to the age of eighteene yeares or day of marriage to be paide to the said Child by my Executrix but if my Wife be not with Child Then my will is That my Daughter Elizabeth shall have one hundred poundes of like lawfull money of England more to make her two hundred pounds before given by me Three hundred and to be paid att her age or time as aforesaid by my Executrix Item I give and bequeath unto Henry Wiles sonne of my Sister Elizabeth Wiles the full summe of five poundes when he shall attaine to the age of One and twenty yeares to be paide him by my Executrix Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Wiles my God Daughter the summe of Tenne shillings to be paide to her within one month after my death by my Executrix Item I give and bequeath unto Robert Collins my God sonne the like summe of tenne shillings to be paide to him within one moneth after my death by my Executrix All the rest of my goods household stuffe Chattells and Cattle whatsoever my debts being paid and funeral expenses discharged I give and bequeath to Christian my loveing Wife whome I doe make and ordaine Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament renounceing and revoaking all former Wills by me made whatsoever This is the last Will and Testament of me Robert Barnes the younger and in Witnesses hereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale Dated the Three and Twentieth Day of January in the yeare of our Lord One thousand six hundred fifty and three Robert Barnes his marke Sealed signed and published in the presence of Hugh Barnes Richard Bayley Nich: Wade Proved:13 June 1654 PCC Prob11/234
