In the name of God Amen I John Neale of the Towne of Tiffield in the County of Northampton yeoman doe this two and twentieth day of Aprill In the yeare of our Lord God 1674 make this my last will & Testament in manner & forme as followeth Imprimis I bequeath my Soull to Almighty God, In hope of a Blessed resurrection Item I commit my Body to the Ground to be decently buryed in the Churchyard of Tiffield Item I bequeath to my wife Ann Neale all my house and goods & Cattell that I in my Naturall life enjoyed & were in my owne proper possession at & before my death And I doe make her & my sonne Robert Neale my sole & only executors of this my??..And I Leave my Houses Lands goods & cattell in their owne power If soe be, that they cannot raise moneyes to satisfy all my Debts to sell what houses Lands goods or cattells of mine that they will And If so be It should please God take away my wife Anne Neale by death before her owne naturall Sister Margaret Lovell: they shall leave her some meanes or moneys to maintain her alive in some reasonable & good fashion during the naturall life of the said Margaret Lovell Item I bequeath to my Three naturall Sisters: Jane Collins of Nether Heyford; Elizabeth Stiffe of the same parish of Nether Heyford & Susanna Linnell living in Toceter to be paid at my Wifes death Twenty shillings a piece Item: I bequeath to the naturall sonne & daughter of my sonne Robert Neale five shillings a piece to be paid at my Death Item: I bequeath to the Naturall daughter of my Naturall Daughter Mary Sutton five shillings to be paid at my death The marke of John Neale Wittnesses: William Bowncher Rector de Tiffield The marke of William Winckles The marke of Elizabeth Winckles (Date of Probate not given) Northants RO MW70, fol 74
