In the Name of God Amen the Sixth day of October in the yeare of our Lord God One thousand six hundred fiftie and two, I Abraham Mynard of the Towne of Northampton in the County of Northton Baker being weake in body but of good and perfect memory (thanks be to God) Doe make and ordaine this my Last Will and Testament in manner and forme following that is to say ffirst and principally I doe recommend my soule into the hands of Almighty God trusting to have free and full pardon for All my Sinns and to enjoy lyfe everlasting by and through the Death and Merritts of Jesus Christ my onely Saviour and redeemer and my body I yield to the Earth from whence it was taken in a sound hope of a blessed resurrection As touching that portion of Lands and goods (which God hath lent me) I doe give and dispose the same as followeth, ffirst I doe give and bequeath unto my Sonn William Mynard the Sume of Tenn Shillings of lawfull English money; Item I doe give and bequeath unto my Sonn John Mynard the Sume of Six pounds of lawfull English money, every yeare yearly during his natural life, If he keep himself Sole and unmarried To be paid by my Executrix hereafter named out of the goods and personal estate that I shall leave with her If it please God to Continue it to her, and shee be able to pay the same Provided that if my said Son John Mynard shall marry then my Will is that my said Executrix shall pay unto my said Son John Mynard the Sume of fifty pounds of lawful English Money within Three months the yeare after his said Marriage in lieu of the said six pounds a yeare and then and from the payment of the said fifty pounds the said six pounds a yeare shall cease and be no longer paid to him; ?also if my said Son John shall not marry but shall keepe himself a Batcheler then I doe give and bequeath unto my Sonn William Mynard the Sume of fifty pounds of lawfull English money to be paid unto him within Three months next after the decease of my said Son John Item I doe give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Steevens the Sume of Tenn Shillings of lawfull English money Item I doe give unto Thomas Dilley the Sume of Tenn shillings Item I doe give unto my Servant Agnes Clearer the Sume of Tenn shillings Item I give to Wm Haddon five shillings; And the rest of my goods Cattells and Chattells whatsoever I doe wholly give and bequeath unto Marie my beloved Wife whom I make Executrix of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare above written Abraham Mynnard Mathew Sillesbye scr William Haddon his marke Proved 28 June 1653 PCC Prob11/225
