This is the last Will and Testament of me Sarah Jones spinster now residing at Tiffield in the County of Northampton Whereas I have in my lifetime provided according to my ability for several of my relations not mentioned in this my will I give and bequeath All my Property to my nephews William Jones & John Jones their executors administrators & assigns in trust to pay the interest of two hundred and fifty pounds (if my property shall amount to so much after payment of my debts funeral & testamentary expences) to Elizabeth wife of William Barber of Maidford for life and after her decease I give the sum of fifty pounds to my nephew William Jones & one hundred pounds to my nephew John Jones one hundred pounds to my niece Elizabeth Moore & if my property should not amount to two hundred and fifty pounds after payment of my debts funeral & testamentary expences I direct that the said legacies shall abate in proportion & in case my property should exceed the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds after payment of my debts funeral & testamentary expences my will is that my executors shall pay the surplus to Elizabeth daughter of Sarah Elizabeth Adams of Towcester but if the said Elizabeth daughter of Sarah Elizabeth Adams shall not have attained the age of 21 years nor be married at the time of my decease my will is that my executors should pay the said surplus (if any)to such of the Parents of the said Elizabeth as shall be then alive for her use & the receipt of such of the parents as shall be then alive shall be a sufficient discharge for the same And I hereby appoint my said nephews William Jones and John Jones Executors of this my Will Signed this eighteenth day of May one thousand eight hundred & thirty eight Sarah Jones W.
