I, William PRICE Rector of Whitfield in the county of Northamptonshire being in good health in Body and of sound and perfect memory and understanding praised be Almighty God for the same do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner following. First I commit my soul into the Hands of Almighty God my creator hoping through the merits of Jesus Christ to receive free pardon and remission of all my sins and to inherit eternal life and my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executrix hereinafter named and as for my temporal estate I give and bequeath the same as followeth. First of all I give and bequeath unto my loving wife ELIZABETH PRICE the sum of one hundred pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid to her out of the money which I have now at interest as a supply until her rents shall come in. Also I give to my said wife Elizabeth all my personal estate of what nature or sort so ever (My money at interest only exempted) for and during the term of her natural life and immediately after her decease I give the same to be equally divided amongst my six daughters Elizabeth Sarah Mary Susannah Philadelphia and Katherine share and share alike I having given to my four sons Roger Thomas John and William ample portions in their duration and disposing of them in their several stations do also give to each of them one guinea to be paid at my decease and also I give to the wives of each of my said sons that shall be married at my decease the like sum of one guinea and to each of grandchildren half a guinea to be paid as aforesaid And also I having likewise given to my four eldest daughters Elizabeth Sarah Mary and Susannah portions in their present possession I give and bequeath unto my two youngest daughters Philadelphia and Katherine all the money which I have now at interest (except the sum of one hundred pounds herein before given out of the same to my said wife Elizabeth) to be equally divided between them share and share alike and also I give to my said wife and six daughters mourning not exceeding the sum of twenty pounds. And I do nominate and appoint my said wife Elizabeth Price sole executrix of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of January in the seventh year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth in the Year of our Lord 1733/4. signed sealed and declared by the testator as his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us William Cooper Richard Cooper On the Sixth day of September in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty nine administration (with the will annexed) of the goods chattels and credits of the Reverend William Price late of Whitfield in the county of Northamptonshire Clerk was granted to Katherine Price spinster the natural and lawful daughter and one of the residuary legatees substituted in the will of the said deceased (for that Elizabeth Price the wife of the said deceased and residuary legatee for life named in the said will died in the Testators lifetime being first sworn duly to administer
