These I make my overseers, Lawrence BEDELL, William EDWARDS and Thomas WARKE WAS, These being witnesses, Richard ALLYBOND, Richard PAYNTER and Thomas GARTON with others. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My understanding of probate is that a sole Executor had to be a minimum of 21 years of age, clearly, from the wording in the will Richard HAULE was not 21 when the will was written; his father was dead and buried within the following 2 months. The probate is in Latin, apart from names and dates the rest is beyond me; in brackets to the left of the original probate there is further Latin with the year 1577, this may refer to Richards coming of age. The original probate of 1574 seems to have granted administration to John WOODDE of Woodend (Little Blakesley) and Lawrence BEDELL of Napton. Collinge Lease is possibly college lease; the college being All Souls College Oxford, Lord of the manor of Weedon Pinckney.
