Will dated 28th March 1549
Probate 6th  June 1549.

In the name of God Amen, the year of our Lord God 1549 the 28th day of March. I William 
CHAMBERLAINE of the parish of Weedon Pinckney, husbandman of whole mind and perfect 
remembrance make my last will in [form] ensuing.

First I bequeath my soul to god, to our holy Lady Saint Mary and to all the holy company of 
heaven, my body to be buried in the church yard of Weedon aforesaid [near) my father and my 
mother.

Also I bequeath to Nicholas CHAMBERLAINE my son a strike of malt and a strike of barley.

To Peterborough mother church 2 pence.

To Thomas WYTTAKESS my son in law a strike of malt and a strike of barley.

To Margaret CHAMBERLAINE my daughter 3 strike of barley and a red pied hefer of three 
years old.

To Clement CHAMBERLAINE my son 2 strike of barley with a ewe and a lamb.

To the necessary of the church 2 strike of barley to be prayed for.

To Elizabeth CHAMBERLAINE my daughter 2 strike of barley and a weaning calf.

To John CHAMBERLAINE my son a butt of barley toward first pit bush next John? 
HADLAND. [headland]
To Henry (Hare) CHAMBERLAINE my son a butt of barley at my ? next the hemp. 
To Agnes ALIBON my god daughter 2 pence.
To Harye MORE my godson 2 pence. 
Also I will that Alice CHAMBERLAINE my wife shall have the third part of my house that                                        
Nicholas CHAMBERLAINE my son dwelleth in now with the third part of all the appurtenances 
thereto belonging, both in the town and fields during her life.

Also I make, order and constitute my executors to see this my last will performed, Alice 
CHAMBERLAINE my wife and Nicholas CHAMBERLAINE my son and I make overseer of 
my will John VYEL, the rest of my goods not bequeathed I give to Alice CHAMBERLAINE my 
wife.
