Will dated 13th July 1570. Probate 20th November 1570 In the name of God Amen, the 13th day of July in the year of our lord god 1570 I Thomas FOX Clarke vicar of Weedon Pinckney of whole mind and perfect memory make my last will in form ensuing. First, I bequeath my soul to god, to the Lady St Mary and to all the holy company in heaven and my body to be buried in the parish church of Weedon aforesaid in the place where St Margaret alter stood and for lying there I give to the church of Weedon aforesaid 6 shillings 8 pence for the most necessaries of the same and also I give for mending of the highway and costing of foods in the same parish 3 shillings 4 pence. Also I give to my cousin Agnes WARKWORTHE my goddaughter, daughter to my cousin Thomas WARKWORTHE my best pot and my best pen, my best cow, 2 pair of sheets hesian, my bedhilling of carpet work, a towel depke work, a double cover, a pair of cobberts, my best spit, my best kettle, my frying pan, all my platters, pewter dishes, saucers, a salt, 2 candlesticks and my best table clothe and my cousin Thomas WARKWORTHIE shall have the use of all the said bequests till my said goddaughter, Agnes WARKWORTHE if she shall well used come to the age of 18 years whether she marry or not and she to use they as it shall please herself Also I give to my cousin Thomas WARKWORTHE 3 children, Jone, Richard and Emme 3 shillings 4 pence a piece. Also I give to my 4 cousins at London, Thomas FOX, John FOX, Humphrey FOX and Jane FOX 3 shillings 4 pence a piece. Also I give to my cousin Richard FOX 3 shillings 4 pence. Also I give to my cousin Ales FOX 3 shillings 4 pence. Item, I give and bequeath to my brother William FOX, dwelling in Staffordshire and to my sister his wife 6 shillings 8 pence. Item, I give and bequeath to John HODGLEY and to Elizabeth his wife between them 10 shillings. The residue of my goods and chattles not given nor bequeathed my debts and legacies paid and performed in every payment I give and bequeath to my cousin Thomas WARKWORTHE, Als WARKWORTHE whom I make my executors. Also I make my friend James CHAMBERLYN of Plumpton overseer of this my last will and testament desiring him to see it observed and performed in all points. Those being witness to this my last will and testament. Also I give to my servants John MASSYB and Joan WOODLAND either of them one quarter wage that they now are paid upon.
