NRO Ref: Vi 14. [124 written on reverse of copy from NROI Will dated 7th April 1583 Probate 1st October 1583. In the name of God Amen, the 7th of April Anno Domini 1583. I Richard ALLYBONE of Weston in the parish of Weedon Pinckney feeling my soul feeble and sick in body but whole and perfect memory do ordain and make this my last will and testament in manner and form following. First and above all things I give and bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker, to Jesus Christ my redeemer and to the holy ghost my sanctifier, three persons and one god, and my body to be buried in the church yard of Weedon Pinckney aforesaid. Item, I give toward the maintenance of the church of Weedon aforesaid 6 pence. Item, I give to every cottager of the parish one penny worth of bread. Item, I give and bequeath to my son Thomas, ten pounds ten nobles to be paid to him two years after the day of my decease, also another ten nobles, two years after. And the third ten nobles that day two years after. Item, I give and bequeath to my Nephew (sic) [Niece] Elizabeth LUMBERT six pounds to be paid to her at 18 years of age. Item, I owe to George PETTYVER 50 shillings to be paid to him one hollyroddine next coming. Item, I do owe to Thomas WARD of Weston 3 pounds. Item, I do [owe] to John BRDGE WATER of Milthorpe 15 shillings. All the rest of my goods unbequeathed my debts being paid and my funeral discharged I give and bequeath to my son whom I make my full executor. I make my overseers to see this my will performed Thomas WARD and Nicholas LEESON. Probate 1st October 1583.
