NRO Ref: I.33. Will dated 29th June 1545. Probate 12th July 1545 In the name of God Amen Anno Domini 1542 29th day of June. I Jone SUTTON of Weston in the parish of Weedon Pinckney of whole mind and perfect remembrance make my last will in form ensuing. First I bequeath my soul to god, to our Lady St Mary and to all the holy company of heaven and me to be buried in the church yard of Weedon aforesaid by my husband. Also I give to the church alter of Weedon aforesaid and to the high alter of Helmdon a dicar board cloth sliced between them. Also I give to John MAYO my son ? white theve, my next best pot, a plate the best serving, the worst kettle of two, a arke and a table that lyeth on it, a? of tilth next? balke and a pair of sheets. And to John MAIO wife my claw kettle. Also I give to William MAIO my son a black theve, a brown stere cow, my best pot, a chest the biggest, a colt a yearling, a pair of sheets and a green cover, and to William MAYO wife my best red kyetyll, to Thomas WARKWORTHE my son in law a lamb ewe the littlest to be and a brown pied cow bullock a yearling. Also I give to Thomas MAYO my son a red stered mare, half the crop and the ground, the third part the best kettle, a new plate, a calf, a mashing tub, half the tallow and a pair of sheets. Also I give to Thomas MAYO my son and to Alice WARKWORTH my daughter window cloth between them. Also I give to Alice WARKWORTH my daughter a wortpan, my best pettycote and my next best red kyetyll. Also Richard NICOLLE children every one of them 4 pence and to Jone BULL my god daughter a new pewter dish, to Sir Thomas FOX to pray for me 12 pence, to Peterborough our mother church 6 pence. Also I will that my executor shall dole among the parish of Weedon at my monthly mind, half a quarter of wheat, a half a quarter of malt for my soul and all Christian souls, and Thomas MAYO my son shall find the said wheat and malt of my part of the crop. Also I will In every month through the year derege at night and mass on the morrow. Also I will have at the monthly mind 3 priest beside the altar. The rest of my goods not bequeathed, my debts paid and my burial done shall remain to Thomas WARKWORTH my son in law and to William MAYO my son whome I make my executors to see this my last will performed.
