Henry COOLES of Weston. NRORef: Y 111. Will dated 15th October 1593 Probate l0th January 1593. In the name of God Amen, the 15th day of the month of October in the year of our Lord god Anno Domini 1593. I Henry COOLES of Weston in the parish of Weedon Pinckney in the county of Northampton and in the diocese of Peterborough being sick in body nevertheless of good and perfect remembrance and praise be to almighty god, I ordain and make this my testament and last will in manner and form following. First I bequeath my soul unto Almighty god my maker and Jesus Christ my redeemer constantly believing that in the resurrection I shall be accounted of among the wise and my body to the earth from whence it was taken. Item, for my morturie if any be one as the law requireth. Item, I give and bequeath to every godchild that I have 12 pence to be paid unto them within one half year next after my decease at the discretion of my overseers, presently to be delivered after my decease. Item, I give and bequeath to every one of my brothers and sisters children being now living 20 shillings, to remain in the hands of my executrix for and during the full term of her natural life and within one month after her decease to be delivered unto the said children by that my executrix shall put in trust for the same. Item, I give and bequeath to my brother Richard COOLES 3 shillings 6 pence to be delivered unto him by John ATKINS of Weston in and upon whit Sunday next after my decease. Item, I will that my executrix shall receive all my due debts of these people whose names here after follow. Item, of Thomas COLLIS of Sisham 40 shillings upon xptmas day next Anthony HORNE of Weston 20 shillings to be paid at whitson next George TAYLOR 34 shillings to be paid within one month after my decease Item, John WILLS of Weston the elder half a quarter of barley, clean and sweet between Chriside and candlemas next. Anthony MORISON clerke vicar of Weedon 2 shillings 8 pence. Item, I give and bequeath to the poor of Weston and Weedon 15 shillings to be bestowed at the discretion of my overseers. Item, I give and bequeath to the poor of Wappenham likewise at their discretion 15 shillings. Item, the rest of my goods unbequeathed, my debts being paid and this my present testament performed, I wholly give unto my mother Agnes COOLES whom I ordain and make my full executrix and she also paying Thomas WILLS and Richard DODFORD overseers of this my present testament and last will.
