NRO Ref: P 125. Will dated 24th July 1566 Probate 24th October 1566 In the name of God Amen, Anno Domini 1566 the 24th of July. I Elizabeth BULL, widow of Weston in the parish of Weedon Pinckney of good mind and perfect memory make my last will in form ensuing. First, I bequeath my soul to god, to our Lady Saint Mary and to all the holy company of heaven and my body to be buried in the church yard of Weedon aforesaid as near my husband as may be. Also, I give to my son Thomas BULL a cow and a calf to be delivered between this and whitsontide next to come or else 26 shillings 8 pence in money, and I give to the same Thomas a pair of hardon sheets of the middle sort. Item, I give to Jone my daughter the younger 40 shillings in money, 20 shillings of the same to be delivered within 2 months after my departing and [the] other 20 shillings to be delivered within one half year after. Also I give to Isabell SAUNDERS my daughter a pair of sheets, the one of lace the other of hards, a blanket, a winnow shete with a piece set on and the feather bed that I lie in with nothing thereto belonging, and I give everyone that has no corn in the parish of Weedon aforesaid a strike of mill corn whereof names here follows, to Edward PARKER, George ADK1NS, Jone CHABLENE widow, John COOLES, John EDWARDS, John CHABLENE, Thomas HOWSESON and Patrick PETIVER, every one of them a strike of mill corn, and I give to every godchild that I have 4 pence, and to Richard TAYLOR son to George TAYLOR a yearling cow bullock, and I give to Edmund HUCNELL 12 pence and to Richard HUCNELL 12 pence, and I give to Edmund BULL a lamb, and I give to Thomas ALIBONE a lamb and I make my sole executor George TAYLOR my son in law, and I make overseers to see this my last will performed, John BULL my son and Richard ALIBONE my son in law, and they shall have for their pains taking 20 pence a piece, the rest of my goods not bequeathed, my debts paid and my burial done and my legacies performed I give to George TAYLOR my son in law my said executor.
