Bartholomew FAWSON of Weston. PRO Ref: Prob/1 1/245 Will dated 28th July 1647 Probate 7th June 1655 In the name of God Amen I Bartholomew FAWSON of Weston in the Parish of Weedon Pinckney in the County of Northampton labourer being sick and weak of bodie yet of good and perfect remembrance Thanks be given unto Almighty God for the same do make this last will and testament in manner and form as followeth. Imprimis, I do give and bequeath my soul into the hands of God trusting assuredly that by the death and suffering of my blessed saviour Jesus Christ I shall have my resurrection among the just And for my bodie to be buried in decent manner as it shall seem fit and convenient by my executor And for my temporal goods I do give and bequeath in manner and form as followeth Imprimo, I do give and bequeath unto my loving wife Isabell whom I make my sole executor of this my last will and testament that after my decease my wife shall enjoy my house housing and homestead during her natural life And after her decease to remain to my daughter Thomazine and her heirs forever with the proviso That my daughter Thomazine pay or cause to be paid to my son John ten pounds of lawful English money within one twelve month after my wife’s decease if the same be lawfully demanded But if my daughter Thomazine shall refuse to pay the ten pounds to my son John as aforesaid my will is that my son John shall have my house housing and homestead after my wife’s decease paying to my daughter Thomazine the sum of twentie pounds of Lawful English money within twelve months after my wife’s decease if the same be lawfully demanded For my lease of the lands that came from Bartholomew FAWSON deceased I do give and bequeath unto my loving wife Isabell for her to dispose of to her use as she shall please. All the cattle goods movable or unmovable be they called by what name or names so ever they will after my decease I do give and bequeath unto my loving wife Isabell. My will is that if my daughter Thomazine should die before my wife my house to remain to my son John But if my son John and daughter Thomazine both depart this life having no issue Then my will is that my house housing and homestead shall remain to the right heir of me the said Bartholomew FAWSON for ever And I do instruct my loving Brother in Law Thomas HEACOCKE and John WILLIAMS to be supervisors of this my last will and testament Revoking and making void all former wills and deeds of gift at any time heretofore made ordaining and appointing this to be my last will and testament. In witness hereunto I the said Bartholomew FAWSON have hereunto set my hand and seal dated the eight and twentieth day of July in the three and twentieth year of the Reign of our most gracious Sovereign Lord Charles by the Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King defender of the faith Anno Domini one thousand six hundred forty seven. This Will was proved at London before the Judges for probate of wills and granting of Administration lawfully authorized the seventh day of June in the year of our Lord God one thousand six hundred fifty five by the oath of Isabell FAWSON the Relict of the said deceased and sole Executrix named in the said will To whom was committed Administration of all and singular the said deceased goods chattels and debts She being first by virtue of A Commission issued out in that behalf sworn well and rightly to Administer the same.
