In the Name of God Amen I Ann King of Welford in the County of Northampton Widow (being of sound and disposing Mind and Memory praised be God) do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament And first I will and direct that all my just Debts and ffuneral Expences be paid and discharged by my Executor hereinafter named and as to my Worldly Estate I give and dispose thereof as follows (viz) Whereas Edmund Hewitt Citizen and Joiner of London deceased did and by his last Will and Testament in Writing bearing date on or about the twenty seventh day of September which was in the Year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty nine (interalia) give and bequeath to me by the Name and addition of Ann Smart Spinster including what Monies he should owe me at his decease the Sum of one hundred pounds and thereby directed the same to be paid immediately after the death of his Wife Elizabeth Hewitt in and by this said Will reference being thereto had may appear Now I give and bequeath all my Right Title Interest and Property in and to the said Sum of one hundred pounds and all other Sum and Sums of Money which I have a claim in and by the said Will of the said Edmund Hewitt unto my Brother John Smart of Hothorpe in the said County of Northampton Grasier And also my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever I give and bequeath unto the said John Smart for his own use and benefit whom I nominate and appoint sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this ninth day of October in the sixth year of the Reign of King George the Third and in the Year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty six Ann King Timothy Lewis Jos Sturgis On the twentieth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty seven Administration (with the Will annexed) of all and singular the Goods Chattells and Credits of Ann King late of Welford in the County of Northampton Widow deceased was granted to Edward smart the Son and Surviving Executor of the Will of John Smart deceased whilst living the sole executor and Universal Legatee named in the said Will having been first sworn by Commission duly to administer The said John Smart Survived the said Deceased but died without having taken upon him the Execution of the said Will June 15 In the year of our Lord 1778 PCC Prob11/1160
