In the Name of God Amen I Joseph Martin of Welford in the County of Northampton Yeoman being weak in Body but of sound perfect and disposing mind and Memory do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament in Manner ffollowing And first and principally I commend my Soul to God hoping through the Merits and Interception of Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer to have the free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sins and to Inherit Everlasting life My Body I Commit to the Earth to be Decently buried in a Christian like and decent manner at the Discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named And as for all such Worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to bestow upon me I Give devise and declare thereof as followeth And First of All I do hereby give Devise and bequeath all my Estate Reall and Personal Goods Cattle Chattels rights and Credits in Whatsoever and Wheresoever unto me belonging after the payment of all Just debts and ffuneral Expences unto my Dear and loving Wife Luce and to her Executors and Administrators And I do hereby nominate Constitute and appoint my said dear Wife Luce Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament Containing two sheets of Paper revoaking and making void all former and other Wills and declaring this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Joseph Martin the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty Seventh Day of Februaury in the Eighth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Brittain ffrance and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and sixty eight - Joseph Martin Thos Medburn George Bliss John Blockley Proved by Commission 4th March 1769 Northants Record Office
