In the Name of God Amen I Neale Hayton of Tiffield in the County of Northampton Gent being of sound mind and perfect memory do hereby constitute and appoint this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) Imprimis I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me hoping through the Merits of his only Son Jesus Christ who I trust is the only Saviour of Mankind and my only Redeemer he will receive it into his everlasting kingdom and as to my Body my will and pleasure is to be put in a coffin covered with Black Cloath and lined with Lead as is customary in such cases with Nails and Handles I would be buried decently but without pomp And with as little expence as possible and to be interred in a brickt Grave as deep as usual and a Tomb to be raised above the surface of the Earth with a large Stone raised thereon as is seen in almost every Churchyard As to the disposal of my worldly Goods it has pleased Almighty God to dispose upon me I give and devise the same as hereinafter mentioned that is to say I give and devise my Messuage and Closes with the Appurtenances in Tiffield aforesaid unto my housekeeper Sarah Moore her Heirs and Assigns forever if she lives with me at the time of my decease Also all my Money Goods Furniture Hay Coales and Wood with everything moveabl and immoveable in my House Barns and premises in Tiffield aforesaid I give unto the said Sarah Moore withiout any Impeachment molestation or controul from any of my Relations (or any person whatsoever)Also I give and bequeath unto the said Sarah Moore my Mortgage Securities on the Estate of the late Robert Neale of Tiffield aforesaid and all the Principal Money with the Interest to be due thereon at the time of my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Nephew William Hayton and Clara his Wife All my right Title and Interest in my four houses now being situate in Great King Street and two in Great Ryder Street near Saint James Square Westminster And also all and singular my Monies I am or shall be possessed of in Government or any other Securities or in any other persons hands whatsoever to be charged and subject to the payment of my ffuneral Expences and to the payment of my just debts whereof One hundred pounds is owing to my said housekeeper and subject to payments of Legacies hereinafter mentioned and at the times herein appointed (that is to say) I give and bequeath unto my said housekeeper Sarah Moore the sum of two hundred pounds three months after my decease Also I give unto my servant Hannah Smith the sum of ffifty pounds Also I give and bequeath unto Mary Lawrance of Tring One Hundred Pounds Also I give and bequeath unto my ffriend Simon Adams of Towcester ffifty pounds which three last sums my Will is shall be paid three months after my decease then I give and bequeath all the Rest and Residue of my personal estate whatsoever unto my said Nephew William Hayton and Clara his Wife who I appont Executor and Executrix of this my last Will and Testament contained in two half sheets of paper In Witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this 28th of July one thousand seven hundred and eighty four Neale Hayton Witneses Susannah Barber Mary Wait Saml Shackleton Proved 17th November 1787 by the oaths of William Hayton Esquire the Nephew of the Deceaased and Clara Hayton (Wife of the said William Hayton) PCC Ref PROB11/1159 Contributed by Ros Dunning
