This is the last Will and Testament of me James Summers of 
West Cowes in the Isle of Wight Sail Maker made 
published and declared this seventeenth day of December one 
thousand eight hundred and thirty eight I direct all my just 
debts funeral and testamentary expences and the expences of 
Proving this my Will to be paid by my executors hereinafter 
named as soon as conveniently can be after my decease I give 
to my sister my watch with the chain seals and key attached 
thereto and as to all and singular my real and personal estate 
stock in trade goods chattels moneys and effects whatsoever 
and wheresoever (except my said watch chain seals and key) 
which I may be possessed of or entitled to at the time of my 
decease and of whatsoever description the same may be I give 
devise and bequeath the same unto and equally between my 
said sister and my brother Joseph their heirs executors 
administrators and assigns equally share and share alike as 
tenants in common And I appoint James Hollis of West 
Cowes aforesaid Gentleman and my said brother Joseph 
Executors of this my Will And I revoke all former Wills by me 
made and declare this to be my only true last Will and 
Testament In witness whereof I the said John Summers the 
testator have to this last Will and Testament contained in one 
sheet of paper subscribed my hand and seat their seal the day
