In the Name of God Amen
I  Ann Pither of Yateley in the County of Southton Widow, being weak in Body but of sound 
and perfect Mind and Memory blessed by God do this 19th Day of May 1744, and make and 
ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form followeth Vist. principally and 
first of all I commend my Soul into the hands of God that gave it and my Body to the Earth to 
be buried in a Christian Like and Decent manner at the discretion of my Executrix herinafter 
named and as for such Worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me with all I 
give and dispose of the same as followeth [Item] I give and bequeath unto my nephew 
Thomas Hammond Junr. of Origlso[?] of Yateley aforesaid Carpenter the sum of ten pounds  
of Lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid them within one year after my decease [Item] I 
Give and bequeath unto my Nieces Sisters of the said Thomas Hammond Vist. Ann Field 
of Chobham and Elizabeth Watts of Fleet in the said parish of Yateley the full and just Sum 
of twenty pounds a piece of like Lawful Money to be paid them within one year after my 
decease [Item] I Give and bequeath unto Alice Boyer Wife of Nicholas Boyer of 
Easthampstead and to Alice their Daughter the sum of Five pounds a piece of like Lawful 
Money to be paid them within one year after my decease [Item] All the rest and residue of my 
Goods and Chattels Credits and rest and residue whatsoever my just Debts being first paid 
and funeral Expenses Discharged  I Give and bequeath unto my Brother-in-Law James 
Pither when I make nominate constitute and appoint my only Sole Executor to this my last 
Will and Testament revoking and disannulling all former Wills or bequests heretobefore 
made by me and do ratify and confirm this and only this to be my last Will and Testament In 
Witness whereof  I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and year above written The 
mark of John Pither  signed sealed and published and Declared by the said Ann Pither to 
be his last Will and Testament in the presence of  James Clarke ~ John Clarke ~ Sarah 
Hockley . /~

This Will was proved at London on the twentieth Day of  September in the year of our Lord 
One thousand Seven hundred and Forty Six before the Worshipful Robert Jenner Doctor of 
Laws and surrogate of the Right Worshipfull John Bettsworth also Master Keeper of 
Company of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of James 
Pither Sole Executrix named in the said Will to whom Administration was Granted of all and 
singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased she having been first sworn by 
commission duly to administer ~ Exd.
