In the Name of God Amen I Robert Henty of Newport in the Isle of Wight in the County 
of Southampton being aged and Weak in Body but of sound and perfect mind and 
memory and of good understanding (thanks be to Almighty god for the same)and 
Considering the Frailty of this Life and the Certainty of Death Do for avoiding 
Controversies after my decease make publish and declare these presents to contain 
and be my Last Will and Testamentin manner and form following (That is to say)First 
and principally I resign my soul to God and my Body I committ to the Earth to be 
Interred at the Discretion of my Executor herein after named And for such Temporall 
Estate as the Lord hath been pleased to bestow on me I Dispose thereof as followeth 
(that is to say) I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Coker all my Household 
Goods (all manner of Plate Rings and Jewels Excepted) in the House wherein I Dwell 
and also in any Outhouse and Skillen To Hold the same unto my said Daughter Mary 
Coker her Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever Item I Give and Bequeath 
unto my Sons William Henty and Walliston Henty the Sum of One Pound and One 
Shilling of Lawfull Money of Great Britain apiece and to each to be paid unto them by 
my Executor within Six Months next after my Decease Item I give and bequeath unto 
my Grand-Daughter Ann Coker my Silver Tobacco Box and my Old Silver Watch which 
shall be delivered unto her by my Executor within Six Months next after my Decease 
And all the rest residue and remainder of my real and personall Estate whatsoever of 
what nature or kind soever after the payment of my Just debts and funerall Expences 
and the above Legacys (and in particular any Silver Tankard which is in the hands of my 
Daughter Coker)whereof I or any other person or persons whatsoever in Trust for me or 
to or for my Use am or are or do at the time of my Decease shall stand seized or 
possessed off or in any ways Intitled unto either in Law or Equity in possession 
Revertion Remainder or Expectancy or other wise however by any manner of ways 
means right or title whatsoever i give Devise and bequeath unto my son John Henty of 
Portsea in the said County of Southampton Brasier And to his Heirs Executors 
Administrators and Assigns for ever But I Devize and the true intent and meaning of this 
my Will is that my said son John Henty hie Executors or Administrators shall and do 
immediately after my Decease take my Loving Wife Ann into his House and there fend 
and provide for and allow unto her all manner of Necessarys whatsoever that shall be 
fitt and Convenient for her andduring the Term of her Naturall Life But if it shall happen 
that my said Wife Ann shall be persuaded from or Dislike and not willing to Live and 
Dwell with my said son John Henty Then and in such case my said son John Henty his 
Executors Administrators or Assigns shall for the Mainenance of my said Wife Ann pay 
and Allow unto her an Annuity or Yearly payment of Twelve Pounds of Lawfull Money of 
Great Britain for and during the Term of her Natural Life to be paid unto her without any 
deduction or abatement on any account or pretence whatsoever and by four Quarterly 
payments in the Year (that is to say) the Feast of Saint Michaell the Archangell, Saint 
Thomas the Apostle the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the feast of Saint 
John the Baptist The first payment to be made on such of the said Feasts or Days as 
shall happen at or after the End of Two Months next after my said Wife Ann shall (or 
after my Decease) refuse Living with my said Son John Henty and for the due payment 
thereof my said Son John Henty shall (If my said Wife Ann shall require it) give unto my 
said Wife Ann one Bond or Obligation under his hand and Seal in the penalty of one 
hundred and Eight pounds of Lawfull Money of Great Brittain And I Do hereby Nominate 
and appoint my said son John Henty full and sole Executor of this my last Will and 
Testament In Testimony whereof (Revoking and making Void all former and other Will 
and Wills by me at any time heretofore made and Declared) I have to this my said Will 
Sett my hand and Seal this Eighteenth day of August in the Tenth Year of the Reign of 
our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France 
and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth And in the Year of our Lord One 
Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Six  Robert Henty
