Know all Men by these Presents that we WILLIAM EARLE of Alton in the 
County of Southampton, Labourer, GEORGE EARLE of Hammersmith in the 
County of Middlesex and ISAAC ILLSEY of Alton aforesaid Servant are held 
and firmly bound unto the Right Reverend Father in God Charles Richard by 
Divine Permission Lord Bishop of Winchester in the sum of Four Hundred 
Pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain to be paid unto the said Lord 
Bishop or to his certain Attorney his Executors Administrators Assigns To 
which payment well and truly to be made. We oblige ourselves and each of us 
by himself for the whole our and each of our Heirs Executors and 
Administrators firmly by these Presents Sealed with our seals dated the 
Twentieth day of October in the sixth  year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord 
William the Fourth by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain 
and Ireland King Defender of the Faith etc. And in the year of our Lord One 
Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Five. The condition of this obligation is 
such That if the above bounden WILLIAM EARLE  Administrator of all and 
singular the Goods  Chattles and Credits of his late mother HANNAH EARLE 
of Holybourn in the said  County Widow deceased do make or  cause to be 
made a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods Chattles and 
Credits of the said deceased which have or shall come into the Hands 
Possession or Knowledge of him the said WILLIAM EARLE or into the Hands 
and Possession of any Person or Persons for him and the same so made do 
exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the Registry of the Ecclesiastical Court of 
Winchester at or before the twentieth day of April next ensuing and the same 
Goods Chattles  and Credits and all other the Goods Chattles and Credits of the 
deceased at the time of her death which at any time after shall come into the 
Hands or Possession of the  said WILLIAM EARLE or into the Hands and 
Possession of any other Person or Persons for him do well and truly  administer 
according to Law. And further do make or cause to be made a true and just  
Accompt of his said Administration at or before the last day of October 1836 
and all the Rest and Residue of the said Goods Chattles and Credits which shall 
be  found remaining upon the said Administrators Accompt the same first 
examined and allowed of by the Judge or Judges for the time being of the said 
Court shall deliver and pay unto such Person or Persons respectively as the said 
Meaning  of a late Act of Parliament of our late Sovereign Lord King Charles 
the Second intituled an Act for the better settling of Intestates Estates shall limit 
and  appoint. And if it shall hereafter appear that any last Will and Testament 
was  made by the said deceased and the Executor or Executors therein named do 
exhibit the same into said WILLIAM EARLE above bounden being thereunto 
required do render and deliver the said Letters of Administration (Approbation 
of Such Testament being first had and made) in the said Court then this 
Obligation to  be void or else to remain in full Force and Virtue.

In the twentieth day of October 1835 Administration of all and Singular the 
Goods Chattles Rights and Credits of HANNAH EARLE late of Holybourne in 
the County of Southampton and within the  Diocese of Winchester Widow 
deceased (who died without making any will) was granted to WILLIAM 
EARLE of Alton in the said County  Labourer the natural and lawful son and 
one of the next of kin of the deceased. And the said WILLIAM EARLE was 
sworn Administrator accordingly in due form. And that to the best of his 
Knowledge Information and Belief the whole of the Goods Chattles Rights and 
Credits of which the said HANNAH EARLE died possessed (without deducting 
any Thing on account of the Debts due and awing by her) are under the value of 
Two Hundred Pounds.
