This is the last Will and Testament of me John Earle of Headly in the County of 
Southampton Husbandman whereby I commend my Soul to God and dispose of my 
Worldly Estate and Effects in manner following (that is to say) First I direct that all my 
just Debts the Expenses of my Funeral and all testamentary Expenses be fully paid and 
satisfied by my Executrix hereinafter named as soon after my Decease as possible Also 
I give and bequeath unto my Grand daughter Sarah Lassam All and every my 
Household Goods and Furniture Ready Monies and all Securities for Money and all 
other my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature 
or kind soever To Hold the same Goods Monies Effects and Premises unto my said 
Grand daughter Sarah Lassam her Executors Administrators and Assigns Absolutely to 
and for her own proper Use and Benefit and I appoint my said Grand daughter Sarah 
Lassam sole Executrix of this my Will and hereby revoke all former and other Wills by 
me at any time heretofore made In Witness whereof I the said John Earle the Testator 
have hereunto set my hand and seal the Twenty third day of March in the Year of Our 
Lord One thousand eight hundred and eleven//. The Mark and Seal of John Earle

Signed sealed published and declared by the said John Earle (the Testator) as and for 
his last Will and Testament the day of the date in the presence of us who in his 
presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our Names 
as Witnesses thereto.

On the Fifth day of November one thousand eight hundred and eleven Sarah the wife of 
Thomas Lambole (late Sarah Lassam Spinster) of Headly in the County of Southampton 
Laborer who at the time of the date and execution of the above written Will was Sarah 
Lassam Spinster the above named Executrix was duly sworn well and truly to 
administer all and singular the Goods Chattels and Effects of the above named Testator 
John Earle deceased according to Law will the form and Effect of the above written will 
and that the same Goods and Chattels and Effects do not amount in value to the sum of 
one hundred Pounds
